ART MARKET By Ruth M. and Rosa M. On Friday we sell the ponies at the park. They had a lot of stuff. They had earrings and stuff. I want to make earrings here. Donations, yarn for the shag rug. Jamie, Marcus, Anteneh, Hannah, and Monika sell horses, pillows, rugs. A lot of money.

SHORT ARTICLE FOR ART MARKET By Marcus W. This is a short article for the Art Market. It was fun when they are a lot of kids at Millennium Park. I sang "Last Christmas," by Wham. It had a lot of fun out there by selling art supplies like legs, horse bodies, eyes, horse patches, and ears. I had a great time out there. The kids are selling rugs, and scissors. The kids are making the rugs are nice and pretty. "I hope I had a wonderful time," I said. "Maybe I'll go again next year!"

DECEMBER By Lucy P.

I want to talk about what's going on in December. Christmas - all the nice Christmas snow, all the trimming Christmas tree, all the Christmas songs. I feel lousy in December because that's my mom's birthday. My mom was born December 14. I know she wanted me to be happy, but her birthday is around Christmas. I feel lousy because she's not around to enjoy it with me. Fun memory - a lot of dogs. Snowball. That was my dog, Snowball. I'm looking forward to a Christmas party in December. Have good, fun stuff to eat. They said they gonna have pizza I think. Marcos' friend John Greenfield, he might get him again to play for us. They'll sing some Christmas carol. I enjoy him.

VOLUNTEERING By Ruth M.

Me, Sophia, my sister, and Nikko folded clothes. Care center, Evanston. Putting clothes, putting hangars. We had fun.

SPENDING TIME WITH MY FAMILY FOR THANKSGIVING

CLONITA'S THANKSGIVING

Wednesday night, my niece came over to my house with her friends. I'm like, so happy to see her. I was behind the door and scared her friend. I said, "Boo!" and she said, "You scared me!" Then her friend said, "Oh my god, you're going to give me a heart attack." She stayed a little bit my house. My niece stayed over over night because it's Thanksgiving. My mom went to the store on Thursday morning and she didn't go to sleep until 4:30 because she had to get ready for the stuff. Then she's cooking food in the store, like turkey. After that, I stayed home and my mom went shopping, like Walmart. She got three boxes with items for the house. After that, she came home. Then I ate a little bit. I didn't eat much. I been watching Netflix. I watch the Parker show. I was not bored. I did not take a shower or nothing. After that, we went to eat at Superdawgs. I got the tenders with french fries and Coke. And then we waited for the longest. I had been watching a movie at home in my room. The end of the morning, it was like 3 o'clock, I started to read my Bible for Thanksgiving. We prayed first, then we eat. We watched movies. My sister put a

everything like that. Sleeping...eating and sleeping. Watching TV. Thanksgiving, I had chicken for Thanksgiving. I had macaroni and cheese. I had sweet potato pie and I had peach pie. And I had greens, and I helped my niece with the corn bread and the candied yams. I had a lot of chance to eat and rest. A lot of eating, a lot of resting. I got to do a lot. Then I brought some leftover Thanksgiving food for lunch. I brought some of the chili that my other niece made. I brought some for my lunch today. We got rid of the leftover of Thanksgiving food. The only thing left was the greens and the beans. The chicken and peach pie was gone! Our refrigerator was so full, we could barely put nothing in it! We had to put some downstairs in the freezer. That's too much food, boy. Too. Much. My family's like, "Clonita, you got jokes." The basement's like, you can't even close it all the way. Other than that, I been watching TV, watching movies, and sitting back and relaxing. Other than that, I'm cool. Ready to take a nap.

GOODBYE JANET I'LL MISS YOU By Jamie P. I am going to miss Janet because she's beautiful, African American, young woman. I love her attitude. The way she smiles every morning. We do meetings. Talk about good mornings, what you do over the weekend, and doing exercises. We talk about the date, news, holiday. She had her notes about what's going on in the world. She told everybody she would come see us once a day. I hope she'll be okay at Diversey. I hope. I want her to be healthy, strong, and faith. I don't want nobody to judge her at Diversey. No yelling, no swearing, no hurting, no fighting, no drama. And Janet would be yelling. That's what I like about her. She's the coolest woman to me. Every time I see her, every day, at Westtown, good memories. I feel connected with her for a while at Simons Park. I had a friend there named Jazmine. She told Janet, "You're a good person working at Simons." I feel happy with you working with us, having behaviors with me an Vahid, and then we become friends.

SHORT ARTICLE FOR THANKSGIVING By Marcus W. This is a short article about Thanksgiving. I am thankful for our family and friends. I ate turkey, stove-top stuffing, greens, cranberry sauce, macaroni & cheese, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, and fried chicken and it was great. I saw my brother over here last Thursday. I had pumpkin pie, cake, ice cream. I had something to drink for dinner. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.
