FIELD TRIP FISHING

By Jamie P. I had a great day at fishing. Spending time with my friend Charles. I really enjoyed the food - pizza, drinks, and chips. I'm really glad to see Marty there. I didn't know about Rose Center there. My friend Edward said "Hi" to me. He's the coolest man I've ever known. I know him from the gala. I liked to see the boats touring around.

MONTROSE HARBOR

We went fishing at Montrose Harbor. It was hard finding the place. We didn't know which place we were supposed to be at. Graham drove us. He didn't know where it was. He had a rental car. He went to the wrong spot, where the bicycles were supposed to be at! He had to call Hannah to tell him where it was. He went to the bait shop on the wrong side of the park.

We got there. David was there, Marty, Graham was there, Hannah, Ruth, Rosa, and me, Jamie, and Ernest. There was a tent out there. They had screws to hold it down. We went fishing. It was kinda fun. We met Chris and Alex. They helped us put the worm on the fish hook. I think they put two on there for us. One of the guys asked how Jimmy was doing. Chris was asking me why Jimmy didn't come. I said he was busy a lot.

I like how they served the pizza to us with gloves on. I had three of them - the sausage and the vegetable pizza. They had water coolers and we picked what to drink. I had lemonade. Then they gave us chips. Sherece came to pick me up after that. I introduced her to David. I introduced Graham to David. Sherece said, "Hurry up! Let's go!" And then we drove off.

We had fun out there. It was nice meeting those people out there. Chris was nice. He played different music. He had tattoos. I asked him who did them for him. They looked nice. I think he had different tattoos on him arm. That guy is so funny. He calls me "buddy." That was nice. He was watching my hat for me. We saw boats. That's all I saw out there.

I LOVE TOMATO

By Agnes I like to go to water the tomatoes. I help them grow from the seed to the tomato. I was watering the plant and I pick the tomato when it's big and pink and red. I really like going to Monarch Garden to see certain plants. I really like to be out in nature.

Making cards is an outcome goal. I drew a house, building, sun, fence, trees, clouds, and side walk. It took me three days. I used cardboard, colored pencil, and construction paper. We need some stamps probably. I hope Marilyn gets it very soon.

PRESENTATION ABOUT BIG MARSH

I gave a presentation on Big Marsh.

David said a few words, I said a few words, and Jimmy the guy said a few words. Big Marsh was about chopping down the trees and mulching the ground in order to help Mother Nature.

When I was at Big Marsh, Julia said I was about five steps ahead of what she was saying. When I was at Big Marsh, my favorite thing is chopping down the trees.

Jimmy the guy helped me write the presentation. I studied it. I said it a bunch of times without looking at the paper. I did eye contact, hand gestures, don't forget to smile, and medium tone. When I practiced in front of Hannah, she said, "That was really great, William!"

I practiced it numbers of times. Then I became really good at it. I messed up

a couple of times, but once I practiced it, I did really well.

Susan and the rest of the crew said I did an outstanding job. For once and for all, the presentation was really nice.

LEARNING THE WEAVING MACHINE

By Eunice Jones It is easy for me. You look and first see the weaving machine and it looks like it is going to be hard, but it is not hard for me. You tell me how to do something and I just do it. That is how it is.

Let me tell you how to do it. You put the yarn on a stick and wind it around and the stick helps you pull it through the machine. You push pedals with your feet to make strings go up and down.

Different machines have different pedals, so you have to pay attention. Some we mark with numbers or with colored tape to help you know where you are at. Sometimes you push the wrong thing but you have to realize it is wrong. You have to fix it or your rug won’t look right.

I look at other people and learn. It feels good for me to learn from another person. I work and I get it. It is interesting and good for me, give me something to do.

I came home and told my daughter what I was doing with the machine. My daughter said to me, “You look like you have a new project. So you want to be an artist, huh?” She was laughing.

My daughter was proud. I was proud. She knows I learn. I finished this new rug.

RIC FLAIR (NATURE BOY) Rick Flair is the best wrestler of all time. He is the 16time world champion. I like his robes because they’re beautiful. They say “Nature Boy” on the back. He has a daughter named Charlotte Flair. She’s a good wrestler and she has good robes, too. They’re different, but they’re still beautiful. I want a Flair robe! Ric Flair had a match with Sting. Sting was the challenger, but Ric Flair was the champion. It was in the Baltimore Arena. It was in the 90s. He has great limos and he’s a hall of famer. I like his interviews because he talks about his matches. He talks about who he’s gonna be facing, his opponents, and how he is going to win. I like his suits, too! They’re nice and they’re especially made for him.

I want to say hi, happy holidays, and “WOOOOOOO!” to Ric Flair.

CHARLES' ENTERTAINMENT REVIEW DWAYNE "THE ROCK" JOHNSON I like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson because he has great interviews. I like how he talks about the wrestlers behind their back. It’s so funny when he talks about his opponents.

His grandfather was Chief Maivia, who played the ukulele. I like the way he dresses. The Rock did the movie GI Joe. He also did the Fast and Furious and Scorpion King. I like those movies. His tattoos are great. They are cool because they’re different. He has great suits, like Ric Flair. He has a family and he loves them very much. I’m not sure if he’s married, but I know he loves kids. The music that plays when he enters is a lot of fun. If I could ask The Rock two questions, I would ask “Can I have a picture with you?” and “Can you smell what Charles is cooking?”
