THE WESTTOWN ARTICLE

By Matthew M. This morning we set up with the tables and chairs. I missed Aquillia because she's not here no more. I rode with Tim and it was a lot of fun. It was all of the Buddy Bikers and Pi Kappa Phi. Westtown did a good cheer on the 606. Then we came back and ate tacos and took pictures. It felt good. Then we played basketball and threw water balloons. I threw a water balloon at Erikson. I tried to throw one at Hannah. TaMira and Anteneh hit me with a water

Our member spotlight this month is Michael McNamara from Nashville Center! He is our calendar connoisseur.

Every month he helps write out the big dry-erase calendar and goes over every single number multiple times to make sure they’re perfect. He also reminds us to remove and change outdated calendars on the walls so we always know what day it is. We appreciate him sharing his beautiful penmanship with us every month!

Disability Rights

By Yolanda B. The movie was interesting. It's about disabled people, about their rights and stuff. They went to the White House so they could be able to get ramps and stuff, cause they were crawling up the stairs. Someone was living in the CILA, and they weren't checking on them and stuff. They were going to the bathroom on themselves, and they didn't have no beds to sleep on. Some of them were sleeping on the floors and stuff until they got beds. When they got the bed, they was happy! They were crying that they didn't have the ramps to go up the stairs. That was the most important part. And they got it for them. They kept going to the head boss. They stood in the streets and stuff, stopped the traffic, so that people would listen to them. I think they got their point across too.

If we didn't have no say-so in nothing, we wouldn't be able to get nothing. Stuff that we really need, like a wheelchair, or crutches, or cane.

THE AUTO SHOW

By Vahid M. and Sophia F. Vahid, Anteneh, and Sophia went to the Auto Show at McCormick Place. We had fun! We just just chilled and looked at cars. The guy drove the car in the building area, and he came back. He stopped us and said, "Where are you from?" We said, "We're from Envision Unlimited Westtown." I (Vahid) told him, "Thank you so much for driving in the red car and the white car." Sophia's favorite part was the blue car. Vahid's favorite part was the black car that TaMira drives that the man drove.

Vahid danced at the auto show, and Sophia laughed at him. We didn't go shopping. We ate lunch with Anteneh and waited for our rides.

KRUGER MURAL ENVISION

By Lucy P. We had a good time. We went to the art thing where they show pictures on the wall. It was really nice to see different murals.

I went with Aquillia, Nicholas, Andi, and all the clients at Kruger. I enjoyed myself. My favorite was the sunrise over the Chicago skyline. We ate at Kruger too because it was so hot downtown. I like all the pictures. It was nice sitting with all the Kruger clients and staff. I had a good time.

I enjoyed myself. I hope I can go again.

ART MAKES YOU BEAUTIFUL JUST THE WAY YOU ARE

By Alex S. I drew cartoons and the words "You're beautiful just the way you are!" I used Sharpie to draw on a white sheet. I've been drawing since I was 4. I got the talent from my grandpa before he passed away. My brother got both talents. He can draw real people, cartoons, anything. Me, I can draw cartoons. My brother can draw real people, but I can't. I draw in honor of my grandpa; my favorite memory with my grandpa. I have a picture I drew at home of "Rest in Peace" for my dad that passed away last year.

They inspired me because when I have coping skills and I don't have my music, I draw to help keep me calm. It helps me keep calm and reminds me of my family that died. It inspired me to help people who had the same thing.

I drew "You're beautiful just the way you are!" because people always try to put me down, tell me I'm ugly. The only thing that is ugly is the way you act. But if you act nice, you give them good vibes.

Everybody is beautiful the way they are. It's the actions that count.

CHARLES' ENTERTAINMENT REVIEW SUPERHUMAN SAMURAI SYBER SQUAD (1994-1995) My favorite is Matthew Lawrence. He is a good superhero. I like when he plays the guitar. The guitar pick is very cool and makes a great noise.

I like his team too: Team Syber Squad. Sydney is on the computer. I like that she is a good person and she reads books. I like the clothing she wears too. The drummer is cool too. He dresses good too. His name is Tanker. I like him because he plays the drums and I like the drums. He’s funny too. I like the principal. I like him because he’s tough. He has a lot of ideas for the kids. He has a daughter and he’s nice to her.

I like this show because they save the world in cyberspace. They use computers to do that and they can run around in cyberspace. He has a tool on his arm that gives him his powers.

I like the pilot monster. He had big hands and is scary. The syber squad beats him with the tools on his wrist. There’s a big light that goes straight at the monster’s face. The bully gets mad and he draws too.

I give this show four stars because I like it. It’s my favorite show. I think other people should watch it and then I can talk about it with them. I think other people would like it a lot.

CHARLES' ENTERTAINMENT REVIEW CONTINUED...

LOVE & HIP HOP: ATLANTA Love & Hip Hop is a reality show about different artists singing their music and about their personal lives. There's lots of different artists on that show. My favorite is Rasheeda. I like Rasheeda. I think she's nice. She wears nice clothes. I think she has three kids. She has a nice daughter. Her husband has two cars. They have a nice house. Rasheeda had a birthday party for her sister. They were singing at a rock concert in the show. They were rapping on the show. Her husband got her a Rolls Royce for her birthday. She was so surprised. Rasheeda and her husband run a restaurant together called Front Bistro. It's beautiful in there. Some of their kids are in there. They both are the managers, two of them are waitresses, and two of them are bartenders.

I like all the characters, like Scrappy. They're all good on there. I give it 4/5 stars because I like watching it and they show the whole city.
