My Best Life, I realize that positioning myself, my brand and life to be considered for a possible connection and/or collaboration is critical to the goals that I have for my life. I don’t say this lightly but Envision Radio and Magazine has put me in places and spaces for consideration that I wouldn’t have imagined. I am eternally grateful. Whether the consideration and connection are to listen to my shows on Sundays or Tuesdays on a regular basis, I am still grateful. I tell my clients that people may consider you for a long time before they ever make connections or attempt to collaborate. I have labeled this the observation season. This season could last for weeks, months or in some cases, years before they reach out, have a conversation, send an email or sign a contract. Who you connect with can literally change your entire life in an instant. I realize that some of you reading this may not believe it but I don’t have enough time or space to tell you all of the people that I have met that literally changed the course and direction of my life. But like me, you may have people that you need to make connection with and collaborate with to take your brand and life to the next level. A few things to consider:

Be Prayerful. God’s discernment is incredible and He will speak verbally, through others or a spiritual imprint will indicate the level of involvement with people.

The Goal. Make sure that you both have the same goal, can agree on how to reach the goal and when the goal is reached, what happens next?

The Agreement. Can we agree? Can we get the job done even if we disagree on the method, direction or redirection of the goal? Additionally, an agreement in writing is always good.

The Season. Determine what season you, your life and your brand are in before connecting it to another person, business or brand. Are you the mentor or mentee in this relationship? Are they still learning or is there something that you need to learn?

What is their work ethic and brand reputation? Remember timing is everything. Some things, opportunities or connections may be good but occurring in the wrong season whether too early or too late.

Live Your Best Life but be careful to consider slowly before you make connections and/or collaborations in this season. Let’s go!
