I am Joseph Cambridge. I currently attend Highland Community College in Highland, Kansas. Not only am I a college student, I am a student athlete. I have been playing football for most of my life, 15 years to be exact. Throughout these years, The most important thing that I’ve learned while being a quarterback is leadership, Wheather you’re on or off the field. Being a leader is about having intergrity, doing whats right when nobody is watching. So as a quarterback, there are high expectations. During my high school football career, my leadership skills were heavily depended on. I was a 4 year starter at Riverdale High School (2x MVP, 5A Player Of The Year, And Clayton County Player Of The Year etc.) When you’re the starting quarterback for a program that vouches you for everything you do, weather you’re on the field or off, it reflects back to your school. Because that is who you are representing. In college I was a true freshman at Miles College where we started the season 1-4. The coaches needed a new quarterback to step up and show leadership and that’s where I stepped in. The coaches belived in me and I took us too a 7-4 season and a conference title game against Tuskegee University. That’s when the coaches and my teammates said “Yeah that’s our leader.” When you’re leading an institution or program everyone wants to know who you are and what you’re doing. All eyes are watching. Even when my teammates see me acting out and not carrying myself accordingly, they feel it’s okay for them to act the same way. That’s why leadership didn’t teach me to be the best football player or quarterback on the field. Leadership taught me how to be a Man , to have intergrity and to live by 17 example!

“Our Mindest is our most valuable asset”

Evolving Through Experience LLC. Evolving Through Experience is not limited to one person or one community, it is for everyone. We share experiences of individuals from all hues of life. These individuals have prevailed through some of the most traumatic experiences. Sharing these testimonies not only help the individuals who share them but also help others realize they can overcome their experience. Although we all don’t face the same situations, we can sometimes relate and seeing someone who has prevailed from theirs can give us hope. It’s vital to share these stories because a lot of the time we as individuals feel we are alone in our situations, but that’s a false reality. If we all face similar situations and experiences, we should all help each other to overcome them, and that’s our focus; we all will prevail. One of our latest stories shared is Finding Hope Through the Storm. It is about a Queen who has prevailed after suffering from two miscarriages. We must commend a woman strong enough and vulnerable enough to share such an experience. Her story can be found at www.EvolvingThroughExperience.com/evolving-experiences. The focus is how traumatic the experience was, but the power obtained and ability to overcome it. Evolving is a continuous process, it doesn’t happen once. Evolving Through Experience will change the world.

THE POWER TO CREATE Have you ever just stopped and looked at a building, car or anything and just thought about the time it took that person to think of that specific concept. Imagination is hereditary, in all generations of human begins, No matter what race or gender you are. An idea comes off your imagination or creative thinking to want to change or add a specific element to make something better.

I truly believe that changing the world through design is what will take society to that Innovative Utopia. Design is such a broad field, and i plan to use every aspect of it. From fashion design, architectural design, graphic design, Industrial design, and any form of design that is capable of starting off with an idea. Looking at someone and asking yourself what could you do to make that persons life much easier, or what could you create to give someone the feeling of believing in themselves just a little bit more. To go out into this world and just create, to make an impact that could change the life of another being. I believe that grasping the fact, that knowing there is a lack of people in power who are motivated by the idea of helping people is what makes it even more of a duty to help people. Just to give people the knowing of saying “They won’t help you, but I will.” It is weird knowing exactly where the world will be in 10+ years. It’s like a curse and a blessing. Because, you have ideas that you know will work to save and help the world, but the fact that it’s an idea prior to 5 years from now, people don’t really see the vision and just think you are crazy so you try to find a way to word it into 2017 language. But knowing that art can beat anything is what helps keep me focus and determine to make my ideas and visions come true. It doesn’t matter if you are a photographer, painter, film maker, chief, big time business mogul, teacher, or anything. Its the imagination and idea of seeing yourself become somthing, prior to your actual career that makes you all those things. You

should never limit yourself to be just one thing, or let anyone tell you to stay stuck in one box all your life. It’s the boundaries we as humans break throughout life that creates us and make us the things we say we are. Ideas are what keeps this world running and is what keeps the third eye open. Making use of anything given to you in life, is coming up with new ways to innovate with concepts and inspirations of life around you; this is what makes you art! You are art yourself, you are capable of unlocking parts of your brain that you never used before in helping me create this innovative Utopia. Only you can hold back the inner being inside yourself, from coming out and just creating. But in the meantime the inner you is just patiently waiting for its opportunity to create!

En-Visionary Productions is a platform and creative universe! I want to embrace the creatives who are looked down upon because of their personality,

creatives who are scared to show their talent, and creatives who desire to spread love! My mission is to produce content in which we can spread love, endorse creativity and Just be Jiggy! Nothing in this world comes easy and nothing that comes easy is worth fighting for. Everyone must go through trials and tribulations in this world, and this is something we must embrace. My journey has been long and bumpy however this is only the beginning. I will continue to fight and I look forward to my upcoming failures and obstacles. I will learn and become a better man because of it, but I will be resilient and I will keep faith! As the oldest of 5 children and the only boy. I grew up understanding and respecting the perspective of both male and female, which caused me to be a deep thinker. However I can say I’ve always been the goofy and vibrant type but that is only because of the amount of love and joy I have in my heart. So my life was centered around interactions that caused me to meet new people, learn new things and see what life has to offer. I’ve always been into sports, arts and fashion. These are things that I am still interested in now.

We (Tevin Holiday and Jidenna Ozoh) grew up on the Nawf our whole lives and realized early the whole world is influenced by Atlanta fashion and music. In recent years, the Nawf has been the big wave in Atlanta. Notably by artists (Migos) who came from the Nawf and represent the side proudly. People all over the world throw up the 2 fingers and thumb (NAWF hand sign). Our goal is to use our brand to represent Atlanta and connect our community to the rest of world as an urban trendsetter. The fashion scene is still on the rise in Atlanta, and like Andre 3000 said, we’re trying to show the world “The South’s Got Something to Say”. The Best Love They say self-love is the best love. Since this may be true, it’s probably why she despises looking into mirrors. She hates reflections because they don’t do enough reflecting. Who cares who stares into the mirror when glares seem to be the only thing that bother her. Insecurities linger more than a hangover. Like a basketball only negativity bounces off that manufactured glass. Reflections lacking on their actions and feeding illusions that always leave her feeling empty. The hunger to know her worth mocks her while her confidence growls to be lifted. She has no time to define the blueprint of who she is because she’s so busy examining why she’s inferior to other women. If only she could see what everyone else sees. Then maybe just maybe she’d be more appreciative. Her reflection is her biggest critic, constantly reminding her of flaws and physical doubts. The hatred of self-haunts her like a ghost. Beautiful, bold, radiant, adjectives used to describe reflections that are perfect. Even though she feels she can’t relate, she worries her reflection isn’t worth it. The reflection duplicates a young body with a baby face but it does not reflect the old soul and personality that outshines gold. They say self-love is the best love. So, she tries to take pride deep down inside. It’s amazing how mirrors can’t look inside you yet manage to reflect the insecurities that lie within. They say self-love is the best love.

INTRO INTO PHOTOGRAPHY with Jenni Gold In my adolescent years, photography was like mild sauce on wings. As I grew older, the mild sauce turned into extra hot with lemon pepper sprinkles and there I was, 17 years old with a digital camera firmly placed in the palm of my hands. Being a part of the yearbook club in high school, my senior year opened up my mind to more than I thought I could think. The ability to feel a moment and be able to recreate it through a lens is a feeling I love deeply. With this Magazine launch for EnVisionary, I’m so very happy that I will be able to express myself and my work in a unique and elevated way. Not only that, I will be able to grow, as you will grow too, from these articles. A mutual beneficial relationship between me and you.

The Basics There are three main components that determine how well a photo will turn out. These components are aperture, shutter, and sensor. Aperture is how big or small the hole inside the lens is. It usually looks like f/?? on your camera settings. The higher the aperture, the smaller the hole, therefore the less light you’re allowing in. Also, the smaller the hole the sharper the background of the image. When the aperture is low, the bigger the hole and the brighter the image. The image’s background would be blurred with the main object in focus.

54 EP MGZ

Whenever the mirror flips up, the shutter opens, allowing light to hit the sensor. It determines the amount of exposure and motion blur. The faster your shutter the less light is allowed in but the more still the photo. This is best for action shots. Slow shutter speeds allow more light in but causes a blur, depending on how slow you set it of course.

The ISO controls the light captured by the sensor. The higher the ISO, the more sensitive and blurrier the photo. Most night photos are captured with high ISO’s. In the daytime, where light is much appreciated, the low ISO allows the photo to be less sensitive and noisy.

Aperture, Shutter speed, and ISO are all inter-dependent. Once you get a better understanding of these aspects of exposure, the more in depth you can go to create the perfect picture and be able to skillfully use the manual settings. 55 EP MGZ

THE OTHER MIGHTY V By Obi Baker “Siri, what’s my name?” “Your name is Tom, but you asked me to call you ‘vagina vagina vagina vagina…” If there’s anything I love more than quoting iconic – but dead - Vines that chase my depression away, it’s talking about vaginas! And why might that be? Believe it or not, most people are severely ignorant about the inner workings of the female reproductive system, and I’ll bet you your whole life savings (which isn’t much if anything if you’re a broke college student like me) that most anyone you ask couldn’t even picture a vagina in their heads. Yeah, I know you think you can, and some of you can, but for most of you, that picture in your head ain’t it. Let me tell you about THE (other) MIGHTY V – the one you see in your dreams. I’m no gynaecologist but whether you realise it or not, the vulva is what most of us are thinking of when we say, “vagina.” Literally the only people who probably ever say the word “vulva” or who really know the difference between the two are gynaecologists and anatomy or biology-student types; But it should be noted by everyone that there is a difference. Why? Because the more you know, the better. Because ignorance isn’t always bliss. And if that isn’t good enough, there are about 7 billion people roaming around on this planet, and about half of us have a V-something, so why not sit back and read about pussy?

What Is the Vagina? When Offset from Migos said, “Beat the ho walls loose,” in the song “Bad and Boujee,” he is most likely referring to the vagina (I have my hands raised in surrender as I know it’s a bad reference, but I’ll address that later). The vagina is the canal, or tube, connecting the uterus and other internal organs to the vulva. While this is the passage through which babies and menstrual blood flow exit the cervix, this is also the organ into which various objects like fingers, tampons, many feminine contraceptive devices, penises, dildos, fists (that’s a thing), and more may be inserted. Granted, the vagina is not the only organ into which these objects may be inserted, but the vagina is a popular choice. Vaginas have multi-layered, soft, and compressed walls which are covered in folds that allow the vagina to be extremely flexible and to stretch the way you should before a workout. This kind of flexibility is especially important for vaginal child birth, when the vagina’s walls perform major yoga as the vagina’s walls must expand an average of thirteen and a half inches to accommodate the travel of an average infant’s head out of the womb. That’s wider than any basketball you’ve ever held or any five-dollar foot long you’ve bought at Subway. Think about that! 58 EP MGZ

The vagina is an amazing organ, but it is also ever-changing. Because vagina’s walls are lined with mucosal tissue, they usually self-lubricate to maintain moistness. “Wetness” typically increases in response to sexual arousal. “Shlick shliq shlish.” “That’s what good pussy sounds like.” --“RAHMAN!!!” Due to hormonal changes/increased estrogen levels, vaginal tissue gets thicker during the menstrual cycle. And as estrogenic levels continue to decrease with age, the vaginal walls become thinner and drier, which is why lube is a very important and popular item for sexy seniors who prefer to never stop never stopping.

The Vulva The vulva is the part that most of us know so well and love; it is the outside part that we can see, and it the pat that you probably, incorrectly picture in your head when the word vagina gets thrown around. There is a lot going on in the all-encompassing vulva, as it typically consists of the labia, the vestibule, the introitus, the urethral meatus, and the glorious, marvellous clitoris! In layman’s terms, the labia minora and majora are the outer and inner lips, the vestibule surrounds the introitus, which is the opening of the vagina, and the urethral meatus is the pee-hole. The clitoris, well, it deserves its own article, but in short, attention to the clitoris (“HIT THE CLIT!” is my motto) typically provides for good times. The vulva is very similar to a flower in my eyes: The vagina is like a long stem that leads into and out of the body while the vestibule and labia (which, again, are parts of the vulva, but are not the vagina) are the petals that reach out into the world. Waxing prosaic, aren’t I? How Did This Great Big Misnomer Come to Be, Anyway!? Remember that line from “Bad and Boujee” I said I would address later? There’s a Professor of counselling psychology at the University of Florida who has an hypothesis about this: Laurie Mintz suspects that this global problem we have of referring to the vulva et al. as the vagina has something to do with the cis-hetero-male patriarchy in which most of us non-Amazonians are living. She says, “our sexual organs [are called] by the part that gives heterosexual men the most pleasure,” which is really some bullshit, honestly. To clarify, her hypothesis isn’t what’s bullshit here. By understanding the difference between the two and knowing the names and functions of everything in between, well it might be overwhelming, but it should be an empowering experience, especially for those with vulvas/vaginas. And for those without vulvas, learn about it for the clout – there’s nothing sexier than a smart cookie giving their time to the Mighty V. In conclusion, my goal is to get you to talk about it. If we even talk about sex organs, at all, often it’s misguided and/or misconstrued. No matter your gender or your anatomy, get loud about what you know, and don’t be afraid to ask questions about what you don’t. If you have a vulva, the next time you want to say something about it, call it your vulva, and when someone raises their eyebrow and asks, “Da fuck?” you’ll know exactly how to respond. And if vulva just feels too sterile a term, try some nicknames for the V, like, my favourite, velvet

HOW TO BE legendary

.O. A. T

The human body is one of the simplest, yet most complex structure on the planet. As they say, “Your body is a temple,” and your ‘Temple’ does so much for you. As you already know your body helps fight against sicknesses, regulates blood and air, digests food, and so much more. But do you know what it takes to help keep your temple in ‘tip top’ shape? You may be wondering, “Okay, so how do I self reflect?” It’s simple, find a quiet place where you won’t be interrupted and close your eyes. Then think of any interaction that might have happened today and try to envision your actions. Is there anything that you would like to change? Maybe, your response to someone was a bit crass and inappropriate or you’ve reacted subconsciously out of emotion rather than logic in a disagreement. You don’t take this time to attack yourself, but rather to gain awareness of your actions to better elevate yourself! This is where you meditate on what you could do differently to get into your ideal mindset. Ask yourself: Am I doing my best? How can I be a better me? What are my goals? When you put yourself into the position to analyze your actions and your current mindset, you will ultimately continue to elevate to a higher potential. Reflection is one of the many ways to delve into your subconscious actions and thoughts, but it is worth a try, makes you all those things. You should never limit yourself to be just one thing, or let anyone tell you to stay stuck in one box all your life. It’s the boundaries we as humans break throughout life that creates us and make us the things we say we are. Ideas are what keeps this world running and is what keeps the the third eye open. Making use of anything given to you in life an coming up with new ways to innovate with concepts and inspirations of life around you is what makes you art. You are art yourself, you are capable of unlocking parts of your brain that you never used before in helping me create that innovative Utopia, only you hold the inner being inside yourself back from coming out and just creating, but while in the meantime the inner you is just patiently waiting for its opportunity to just create.

RANDALL BARNES BY KRISTIN KRIBY

When I begin to think about Randall Barnes, consistency is the first characteristic that I can think of. He is already on his second book called, “A Queen’s Pain”, (which is available on amazon today.) I don’t know many young, black people who have two books out, this shows how hard of a worker he really is. He takes tons of pictures and records tons of videos for Fort Valley State University which led to him meeting all types of celebrities from Tracy Ellis Ross, to Michael Beasley. He has even personally met the future Governor of Georgia, Ms. Stacey Abrams. Randall has interned at Inspire TV and even made his own commercial that was broadcasted on the network! Randall’s lasted project has been with ESPN, where he had to get coverage of the football team and other organizations at Fort Valley to put together a documentary. Besides the many business’ opportunities, he has made, he continues to show his love and support to other students and faculty on campus. Time and time again I find myself going to Randall for advice and he always stresses to me self-control. Our emotions are just temporary feelings and we should always act with a clear mind. From my first time meeting him up to now, he has always been super respectful and down to earth and that’s all I can ask for in a friend and mentor. Together we how work side by side as a HBCU Ambassador. Where we exercise our arts in media and film. We even have other members of the team who focus on writing positive articles and have film opportunities as well. Together we all are great and I couldn’t ask for a better support system while going college.

Taylor Bailey Douglass

Taylor Bailey Douglass is an

abstract expressionist painter & designer from Houston, TX. She specializes in resin, using the material to finish her paintings with a highly reflective finish. Her reflective art is meant to encourage people to be introspective and look within for the fulfillment they seek in other places. She believes that in order to be a light to others and a catalyst for change in the world, we must be self-aware. “The way we interact with those around us is a reflection of what’s going on inside. If we can check ourselves, reflect on love, light, and peace, then we can genuinely share that with others.” - TBD

Hello everyone! My name is D’Ayanna Fuller, and I am an aspiring Chef

from the DMV. Ever since I was little I loved to cook. I first started cooking by helping my mother out with dinner in the kitchen. Soon after I begin to watch the Food Network and become inspired by the many chefs I saw on tv. However, many of the chefs didn’t look like me instead they were white and mostly men. After I realized that the Culinary Industry was mainly white men I decided to set out to change that narrative. My junior year of high school is when my creative really begin to flourish. I was basically given complete freedom to create whatever I wanted with the supervision of my wonderful culinary teacher Mr. Mallardi. Big shout out to you Mr. Mallardi you really helped me become the chef I am today! Once I graduated high school I knew I wanted to go to culinary school and Johnson & Wales was the school to go. God, however, had a different plan for me when he blessed me with a half-tuition scholarship to The Art Institute of Washington to receive my

CHEF G

Associates Degree. So of course, I took that blessing and continued my culinary

training at AI Washington. Sadly, last summer I was forced to transfer school

due to AI closing so I packed all my belongs and headed to Providence, Rhode Island to attend Johnson & Wales University. Currently, I am finishing my first trimester here at JWU studying, of course, Culinary Arts. Though my time here has been short, I believe I have learned a lot and am excited to see where God will take me next. In the end, my goal is to change the narrative that the only successful chefs are only white males and that black women are just as talented and creative. Now I will love to show some of the dishes that I have created over the years.

Red Wine Poached Pears and Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream This next dish is one of the very few dessert plates that I’ve made. One thing about me everyone knows is that I am more of a savory chef and baking and pastry are not my thing. However, Poached Pears is such a simple dessert anyone can prepare this dish. In this recipe, we took red wine, some spices, and citrus peel and let our pears steep or poach in our poaching liquid until the pears were nice and tender. For the Vanilla Ice Cream, we made a simple ice cream base of cream, eggs, vanilla along with a few other ingredients. Once the base was made we simply put it straight into an ice cream machine and in minutes we had fresh homemade ice cream.

GLIZZY Roasted Beets Salad with Candied Walnuts

As a child, I used to hate beets thinking they were a weird color and flavorless. Once I started college however, beets became another ingredient on my list of favorite foods to cook with. In this salad, we took whole beets and roasted them in an oven with garlic, thyme, shallots, and seasonings, low and slow until they were fork tender and mouthwatering. We then sliced the beets into rounds and placed a mixture of salad greens with dressing on top and topped it all off with perfectly candied walnuts.

Lamb Chops with Risotto, Garlic Green Beans and Blackberry Sauce

This was one of the very first dishes that I created while in high school. The idea came from a project assigned by my teacher in which we had to create a dish including a protein, starch, sauce and vegetable of our choosing. To this day this dish is one of my specialties and a dish that many people continue to ask for. The lamb chops were simply marinated in herbs and garlic and then seared and finished in the oven. The risotto is a basic risotto made with garlic and lots of parmesan cheese and the green beans were sautéed with garlic, lemon and seasoned. The highlight of the dish is the blackberry sauce which is a simple sauce of blackberries, red wine, and honey and reduced.

Pan-Fried Soft-Shell Crab with Arugula and Fennel Salad

This next dish dealt with an ingredient out of my comfort zone that being Soft-Shell Crab. Growing up in Maryland, not too far from the Chesapeake, you would have thought that I’ve had plenty of soft-shell crabs but the truth is I hadn’t until I started college. For those of you that don’t know what soft-shell crab is, it is the distant cousin to regular crabs but has recently molted their old exoskeleton leaving them still soft. Since these crabs are still soft it is safe to eat the whole crab as is. To prepare the crab, I simply dredged in in season flour and pan-fried it in a deep sauté pan with vegetable oil. For the salad, I took fresh arugula and thinly sliced fennel and combined it with a light vinaigrette of oil and vinegar and citrus.

Cioppino

Cioppino is a traditional Italian-American fish stew that originated in San Francisco. Most cioppino dishes contain a variety of different fish and shellfish. In my cioppino, we had shrimp, calamari, mussels, and red snapper. Cioppino is also a tomato-based soup which is why most cioppinos are served with bread on the side.

Benne Wafers and Peanut Brittle

Benne Wafers are sesame-based cookies that I first introduced to while at AI taking a class on American Cuisine. Benne Wafers are popular cookies that were created and mostly eaten in the low country of South Carolina. These cookies are sesame based and are sweet yet nutty along with crisp and light. The Peanut Brittle was my favorite to make out of the two. Making peanut brittle is a very precise process and takes time. Peanut Brittle is simply loads of sugar, corn syrup and of course peanuts as the main ingredients. When making peanut brittle it is important to work quickly and work with the right temperatures. If you take too long your brittle can harden before your finish and if you use the wrong temperature it can burn. With the right equipment and ingredients, you can make both desserts with easy.

What I desire 70

EP MGZ

My biggest dream in life is to become a Pediatric Nurse. I’ve had this honorable dream since I was a young girl with many options to choose what I wanted to become. The reason why I have chosen the medical field, was because I’ve always had a passion to help children. The sensational feeling of being able to heal someone made me feel as if it was my purpose to life. To me, I couldn’t express nor describe this desire I’ve had since my childhood. School growing up, was never a struggle for me. Everyday I would wake up to get ready, I was always ecstatic to get up and learn. Gaining more knowledge everyday was considered to be a hobby to me, especially when it came to grades, failure was apart of me I never wanted to experience. I made success and determination a priority in my field of work. When I actually started to take Health Science classes to learn more about the human body, I was so intrigued because it has so many things I am still continuing to learn about today. As I graduated from one grade to another, I gained more and more knowledge everyday but it was not as easy as it seems.

Having to be persistent in studying and retaining enough information, was the key to my success of passing my class and maintaining good grades in all of my other classes I juggled. A quote that I continue to live by “Seeing is deceiving, Dreaming is believing” by Jessie J in her song “Who Are We”. To me, that quote means dream big, and fight to conquer your dreams but if you just see and talk about it, you will never accomplish it. Sometimes it is hard, most of the time there are plenty of moments when I face bumps and trials in my journey but I don’t let them stop nor discourage me. I find myself, telling myself those bumps are just the landmarks to remind and tell me I am getting closer to my destiny of success. “Nothing is ever easy, It takes hardwork and determination to be successful” as my father always says to me when he finds me down when I hit a bump in the road. However, I do have a plan B and a plan C to my career choices. My plan B after a Pediatric Nurse is Sports Medicine. I also have a great passion for sports being that I played many sports as a child. Being a doctor to an athlete would fulfill my love for healing while involving athletics. In high school, I had an hands on experience for most of my high school career being an football manager while still supporting my brother on the team. My plan C is to settle for an Registered Nurse. Though I don’t like to settle but I do consider that to be my last resort if all things does not go as planned in my future. I know that I still have to fight to become and RN and still be in the medical field. This is my desire, no matter what it takes to get into the medical field be determined and persistent with success and never fail.

I am the

Goddess With No Army! Orginal Poetry by:

Cheron Cecelia Young

I am the Goddess with no army..I can smell your presence, I know you want to destroy me! Like thieves in the night trying to take my light and traces of my essence of hope, love, peace, and tranquility-Do you follow me? Spiritual warfare against an indigo child..trying to suck my spiritual blood... physical blood..mental blood...As I try my best to align my soul.. Will I ever get a chance to become whole? Are you trying to drain and vampire the true light and create an ungodly illuminated sore and salten my wound? Well I won’t let the goat alter my mood. As I try to get closer to that holistic food. Today is the day-- I will remove the crabs and leaches...I am my own army!!!!! That will reach my destiny now that I have more clarity. COPYRIGHT 2018 • ALL RIGHTS RESERVED

The Primary Movement is an art collective that advocates for our local artists. Our mission is to Connect, Promote and Showcase local artist. We do this by having art shows, networking events and workshops. We started this collective on February 24th, 2018. In 2018, we put on two art shows (Art shows being the Melanin Pop-Up Show; this show embraced artists views on black culture, the second show being The Divine Feminine: Empowerment Series; this happened in March, Women’s Month. We embraced women artists and their artwork.), two networking events and spoke at a few events. We also partnered with Mark Made to give a scholarship to a deserving artist in college. Our goal is to make our events annual occasions and to do more community outreach in schools. We started off as an idea to bring artists of all walks of life together. Our founder, Diamond Bradley, always had a passion for art (She has dreams of becoming a curator) and hosting events, so she put both together and started the Primary Movement. Our official launch happened on February 24th, 2018. Shortly after, we had our first art show which was The Divine Feminine: Self Care Series. We have grown tremendously within a year. We would like to credit our supporters for the amount of growth we have endured in the past year. Without them, we don’t think half of what we do would be possible. Supporters being friends, family, and Instagram followers. They all have made this journey a tad bit easier.

A SPIKE LEE JOINT

(Handout / A.M.P.A.S. via Getty Images)

Crookly 1994 A Spike lee joint This Film is a representation of Sonder. Sonder n. the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own—populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness—an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate passageways to thousands of other lives that you’ll never know existed, in which you might appear only once; as an extra sipping coffee in the background, a blur of traffic passing on the highway, or a lighted window at dusk. Crooklyn, a story about the Carmichaels from Brooklyn NY during the summer of the early 70’s. spike Lee, Invites us into the life of an everyday family who experiences. Good times ,trials & tribulations and socialization. But through it all, their love and faith in one another keeps them afloat. EP chose Crooklyn as the movie of the year because we realized as children we never really understood what was happening during films or did not see it from the perspective that we have now. Crookyln embodies our message to the people and is a clear representation of how we grew up and never seen it from the other side. We can all relate to this film because of our social interactions with our friends, family and community, since our childhood. so our mission, by presenting this film, is to do just that. Allowing you to reflect on your past. which is our purpose here at En-Visionary; by bringing individuality, genuineness, and love back to our world. We want you, our Menillials and our Generation Z to evolve through your experiences while you are suriving your 20’s. Watch Crooklyn for your first time or 100th time and put your self in the story and reflect! ZION YOUNG-JOSEPH

Dear Millennials & Generation Z, I want to start off with a quote that I first heard from my cousin Jean. He said “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor and some style” - Maya Angelou I have become more understanding and knowledgeable on why our generation struggles with identity and manifesting our goals. We are afraid, scared by our generational curses, socialized and portrayed false realities. We must understand that love will be the only thing that will save us. We will break free from this mental bondage and show the world we are kings and queens. It’s all about your vision. You don’t have to know exactly what you want to do you right now. You don’t have to start a company. You don’t have to be a pro athlete. You don’t have to be rich. You don’t have to be famous. YOU JUST HAVE TO BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! That will be the motivation you need. I believe we don’t understand the quote “You are your greatest enemy! “ We are blessed to wake up every day! We all have the same opportunities. The same Sun, the same Air, the same Life and the same Smile. It’s just the question of “what will you do with it”. Granted, I am not perfect. It took me time to overcome my challenges, that’s why I am passionate to help others. That’s why I Love you! Why? Because love is what saved me!! I Believe, it is the smiles, shared experiences and Manifestation of genuine love that brings me back when I become lost. I adore the adventure of life and I’ve Learned that I learn the hard way. So, I just Keep going. LOST, ALONG AN ADVENTURE THAT I HAVE FAITH IN. “Be your own man, stand on your own two, I believe in you, you believe in yourself “
