ENTRAVISION

SUCCESS STORIES HEADWAY Xoom Corporation is a San Francisco based digital money transfer company that allows users to securely transfer money online. Generally, target users are people living abroad who send money from their country of residence to their native country.

See the App Store link here Xoom has been Headway’s client for the better part of two years. It has been historically managed from overseas teams in Argentina and primarily run through our MoBrain performance network. In order to save the client, we transferred the account from Argentina to Cristin Nicholson, our Senior Account Director based in Los Angeles, in hopes of strengthening the relationship through local support. Cristin was not only able to retain the relationship, but also to grow their spending in Q2 over Q1 by 22%, the highest billing month of the year coming in at $175K net revenue.

The client has continued business in Q3 and is considering expanding to additional Headway products.

Tampa Bay News team, including Samuel Rivera, Ambar Rincon, and Filippo Ferretti, visited the Tampa Bay Rays’ Tropicana Field for a live segment of their 6pm newscast.

On July 6th-8th, Entravision Denver’s La Tricolor 96.5 FM, La Suavecita 92.1 FM/ 1090AM, Univision Colorado and Que Rollo participated in the Our Lady of Guadalupe Bazaar. The event kicked off with a live news broadcast on Friday followed by a blessing from father Benito. There was food, and entertainment, as well as fun events and activities for kids and adults. The event was a success and a great way to reach out to our listeners and viewers.

EL PASO Erazno, from Erazno y La Chokolata, made a stop at El Paso, TX, on July 14th for the grand opening of the shoe store WSS. This event brought the most attendance for any grand opening WSS has had.

DAZZLES SAN DIEGO Entravision San Diego once again participated in the San Diego County Fair, sponsoring the Plaza de Mexico stage. Each weekend of the fair, our talent was on stage greeting the community and presenting the artists and musical groups. Our news anchors Sergio Urquidi, Claudia Rodriguez, Marco Serrano, Diane Perez, as well as the Promotions and Production teams streamed live content from the fair via Facebook. Live streaming is an excellent way to connect with our audience and show why Entravision San Diego is a leader in the market.

DENVER On June 19th, some of the Denver employees volunteered in the 9th annual golf tournament fundraiser for the Latina Safehouse. The mission of the Latina Safehouse is to provide bilingual and culturally sensitive services to Latina victims of domestic violence and their families.

The Denver team arrived at 6:00 am to help set up the tournament. The morning was a success due to the motivated team of people from Entravision who made everyone feel welcomed. SANTA MONICA On Saturday July 21st Sharishta Pearson, Andrew Todd, and Zack Foster from Entravision Santa Monica volunteered with Heal the Bay at their Redondo Beach cleanup. Trash and pollution are toxic to marine life and affect food webs, animal reproduction and the overall health of the marine ecosystem.

The group had a fun morning together supporting the efforts to keep the local beaches and ocean clean and is looking forward to the next cleanup!

On June 21st, Entravision El Paso threw a surprise party for their newscast to celebrate being #1 across the board, regardless of language! Congratulations to the El Paso news team!

For a second year in a row, Entravision McAllen hosted 3 externs, professionals that work at broadcast related fields with Mission, San Juan and La Joya Independent School Districts. Entravision McAllen celebrated the externs’ last day along with their June Employee of the Month and June birthday celebrations.

ADAM LICHTIGER Entravision Senior Vice President, Washington, DC Entravision is excited to announce the promotion of Adam Lichtiger to Senior Vice President of Sales in Washington, DC. Adam was previously Entravision’s Director of Sales, Integrated Marketing Solutions in Los Angeles and responsible for national sales for San Diego, El Paso, Las Vegas, and Reno markets. Prior to Entravision, he held positions at iHeartMedia, NBC Universal and Univision. “The Hispanic market is young, growing and a key audience for advertisers. Washington, D.C. is a major market that is seeing the direct impact of the increasing influence of Hispanic consumers. I’m excited to embark on this new journey and the opportunities this market can bring for Entravision,” said Adam.

LILIANA ARISTIZABAL Entravision Solutions SVP-Eastern Region Entravision has appointed Liliana Aristizabal as Senior Vice President of Eastern Region Sales, and she will be responsible for overseeing Entravision’s national spot TV, radio, and Entravision Solutions on the East Coast. “I was born in Colombia and arrived to NYC at the age of 5. I am a native New Yorker and currently live in Brooklyn with my husband. My career in media started at John Blair Communications and a few years later moved to WABC Ch.7, where my sales career began. I have over 20 years of experience in sales, including managing sales teams in New York, Los Angeles and Miami in various roles such as NSM, LSM and VP of Sales. I’m excited to embark on this new journey with Entravision and build upon its success in the East Coast region,” said Liliana.

ANDREW URIS Entravision Senior Vice President, Palm Springs Andrew Uris joined Entravision on July 9th as Entravision Palm Springs’ Senior Vice President Palm Springs market. “I was born in New York City, grew up on Long Island and later attended Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. My career in advertising began in Los Angeles with Young & Rubicam and Della Femina as a buyer/planner and later moved to Western International Media. I have many years of experience in both Television and Radio sales, having worked at Torbet Radio, KTLA, Telerep, KIIS-FM as the Local Sales Manager and KROQ as the General Sales Manager, and Fox O&O KTTV. In 2006, I moved to Palm Springs and have spent the last decade as Sales Manager of the CBS station in Palm Springs. I am thrilled and excited to join the Entravision family,” said Andrew.

EFRAIN MORALES Entravision Senior Vice President, Santa Barbara/Santa Maria Efrain Morales joins Entravision as Santa Barbara’s Senior Vice President with over 34 years of broadcast experience. “I worked 6 years at Azteca Phoenix and at the same time 8 months as GM interim in San Francisco, worked at Univision Phoenix, and Larry John Wright Advertising. I am an expert in Automotive, developed creative strategies for Auto dealers as well supermarkets. I have been involved in hundreds of Television and Radio commercials, as well as 30 minute programming as Talent, Producer and Director, Ad Sales and Media Buying. I can’t ask for more in life, joining a great company with great people, moving to the beautiful region of Santa Barbara County where the weather is a little bit better than in Arizona. I am glad to be joining Entravision Communications,” said Efrain.

RODRIGO MARGAIN Vice President, Sales & Business Development Mexico Entravision has appointed Rodrigo as Vice President, Sales & Business Development Mexico serving as the business unit head for the Mexican territory and is responsible for Mexico-based clients investing in Entravision owned or affiliated media platforms in the U.S. Prior to joining Entravision, Rodrigo was the Commercial Director at Cinepolis, a Mexican chain of movie theaters. Before Cinepolis, he worked as Commercial TV and Digital Vice President at Fox Television Group. He also held positions at Telefónica Movistar, View Monitor, Pegaso PCS, S.A. de C.V., and others. “I’m excited to join Entravision’s highly talented team and represent its extensive media assets and unique abilities to connect businesses and consumers,” said Rodrigo.

SOLANGE CURUTCHET Pulpo Executive Vice President Entravision is pleased to welcome Solange Curutchet as Pulpo’s Executive VP who joined the company in June. This is a key position for Pulpo, and has the goal of securing the efficient functionality of digital business as well as driving extensive and sustainable growth in Pulpo Hispanic inventory and product strategy with the necessary technologies for the fulfillment and performance of Pulpo digital campaigns.

Solange brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Digital and Media industry with a strong focus and understanding of the U.S.Hispanic market. She has been part of Univision Interactive Media for more than 15 years working in critical business areas of Operations such as Publishers, Product and platform initiatives, as well as Client Services and integrations between Marketing and Sales. Solange is a native Argentinian who lived in the U.S. for almost 20 years and returned to Buenos Aires at the end of 2012.
