Information for tobacco retailers and manufacturers Important changes resulting from the Tobacco and Vaping Products Act Effective November 19, 2018, the Tobacco and Vaping Products Act will prohibit the manufacture and sale of ALL tobacco products containing:

• menthol (including l-menthol) • menthone (including l-menthone) As of Nov 19, this means:

• Manufacturers cannot use menthol and menthone in making any tobacco product; and • Retailers and manufacturers must stop selling any tobacco product with these additives. Information about provincial laws may be obtained by contacting the relevant jurisdiction directly. The information contained in this document is not intended to substitute for, supersede, or limit the requirements under the Tobacco and Vaping Products Act. In case of any discrepancy between this notice and the amended Act, the Act will supersede the notice.
