Softball Players Named to Scholar-Athletes List

Eastern New Mexico softball landed six student-athletes on the 2021 Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar-Athletes list. The accolade is given to students that maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher during the 2020-21 academic year.

The rankings and honors acknowledge the academic drive of softball teams across the association’s membership categories. The NFCA set a new high of honorees with over 8,800 student-athletes recognized in 2021.
Four Greyhound Runners Earn LSC All-Conference Honors

Kipkemboi earned LSC Men’s Newcomer of the Year after his time of 26:10.88 on the 8K championship course, earning 10th place. The top-10 finish earned LSC All-Conference honors, awarded to the top-15 runners in their respective race.
Kenyawani and Kosgei placed in the top-15 during the women’s 6K race, earning LSC All-Conference honors.
Sisneros was named Academic Runner of the Year and earned a spot on the 2021 Women’s Cross Country All-Academic Team for her efforts in the classroom. It is Sisneros’ first appearance on the LSC All-Academic Team.
