King D. Miguel Manor
Situated in Serpa Pinto street;
Its construction dates back to the seventeenth century, marked by a very kind structure adapted to the everyday life of a wealthy rural family;

Alcobertas Dolmen
The Alcobertas’ dolmen dates from the Neolithic period;

Alcobertas Cave •
The Alcobertas Cave has a length of 210 meters, reaching in some places nine meters high.

It has an archaeological interest and human bones from the Upper Paleolithic (about 15,000 years / Homo Sapiens Sapiens) were found there.

• The nascent of Alcobertas stream is a small oasis in the apparent lack of water in this region, representing one of the few places in the park area, where water is in abundance. • This nascent was a supply point for animals and people who for several miles from nearby villages looking for water.

Rio Maior Salt Pans They are at the foothills of the d'Aire and Candeeiros, 30 km from the sea;

It is believed that salt was already explored in Prehistoric times here; Surrounded by trees farmland, the navies of salt present

themselves as a small village of cobbled streets and wooden houses, which feature a group of unique tanks of irregular shapes and sizes, from a spring to fill with salt water and give rise to true pyramids of salt.

Rio Maior Salt Pans Aire and Candeeiros is a limestone mountain region with many fissures in the rock, which enables rain water to penetrate forming undercurrents;
One of this undercurrents passes across a very extensive and deep rock-salt mine and feeds the well in the centre of the pans.
