United Zion Retirement Community’s Trinity Art Gallery will exhibit fabric and watercolor artwork by Helena Dueck. The exhibit will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Friday, Dec. 30. Dueck is self-taught and attended D.R. Sykes and Jay McVey’s portrait classes for many years. Subjects of her watercolor works include flowers located in the Alps, provincial fauna, and local scenery. Over the years, she has won numerous blue ribbons for her artwork. She also creates quilted wall hangings and fiber art. When making quilts, she likes to use up fabric scraps from other sewing projects and combine a
