The Project Browser allows you to access information from both 2D and 3D models. This can be especially useful in the field when you wish to access 2D data from a 3D model. Imagine being on the jobsite with a tablet PC, selecting any object you see in the building, and selecting the same object in 3D. Then, from the 3D model, you can quickly access the contract documents in the standard 2D views.

Reference external documents from the model.

The Links tool allows you to reference external documents from the model. This can enhance the model's information significantly. You can use links during construction to attach submittal information to the model. This information can then be used for quality control.

Solution Select the object you wish to host the picture and click the Add Link button.
