Celebrating Together

After what has been a challenging year, the focus on ending 2020 was on employee wellbeing and strengthening togetherness. So, throughout the month of December the Centacare ‘12 days of Christmas’; a fun packed 12 days of activities and putting positive wellbeing at the forefront.

The 12 Days of Christmas was a perfect balance of giving, creativity and fun all wrapped up in the festivities and magic of Christmas. It was also a way of celebrating the achievements of the staff in managing change and supporting each other. This really helped in reestablishing a culture of community for our 2021.

Aspire 2021

In 2021, the professional development of staff was a priority to practice and service delivery. The Aspire Program was launched in February 2021 as the internal staff training and development program.

Our whole of staff day this year focused on the future of Centacare FNQ as a local service provider. This included workshops on values, mission and strategic direction with presentations throughout the day on key directions for 2021 - 2024.

The day provided a collective understanding of how we share similar practices across the organisation and embed them within our processes. Aspire in 2021 included staff wellbeing, professional supervision and internal training. It is expected to expand in 2022 with more opportunities for staff to develop as social services professionals.
