Which occurred on Friday August 17, 2012 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital after a long illness. She was 61 years young. She is survived by her two sons, Jason and Kevin Dekyi. Prior to her illness, Ms. Busia, the niece of the former Prime Minister Kofi Busia, was an active member of the NPP and was elected First Vice Chairperson of the DC/Virginia/Maryland chapter. She used her energy to help others in the community, both back at home in Ghana and locally in the Washington D.C. Metro area.
