IT’S OUR FIRST BIRTHDAY The network SHINE TOGETHER was informally established on November 18, 2020 with the purpose of bringing all the care experienced together where we grow professionally and personally. We started the group with 10 care experienced young adults with an aim to create a safe space where we communicate and interact, share stories, achievements, challenges, and support each other. Now, we aim to formalise this group and grow this network further. ENJOY OUR FIRST SHINE SHOWCASE - LET’S CELEBRATE!

WHAT WE DO Virtual & physical meetings once a week. Take decisions & provide suggestions from the members of the network. Attend different webinars & sessions from the experts on different topics. Conduct individual & group presentations and sessions.
OUR MISSION
To create a platform where young care experienced people can join and be a voice for unheard voices, raise awareness and advocate on child rights to prevent family separations.
To build a strong network where Care Experienced young people can be independent, empowered and aspire for a better future.

Nothing feels safer than the warmth of mother’s love.
MOTHER’S IMPORTANCE
I who have habit to sleep in a hut could not sleep in the huge bungalow. I who have habit to sleep in the lap of my mum Could not sleep in the sophisticated bed. My younger brother who used to sleep murmuring “mum mum” is crying today I, the eldest son of my family is trying to console him today We the chicks locked up in the golden cage are looking for our mother. Mum is priceless to us more than the golden objects that are around us.
I cry and laugh time and again remembering the time we spent together. Please come mum without waiting for favorable time ‘cause I am desperately waiting for you. //Dinesh

ANITA BUDA MAGAR
Anita is a member of Shine Together. She pursued Arts in high school. Her contributions through her arts have helped the network a lot. Anita made art for the DGD submission for the protection of child rights.
BASUNDHARA CHAND
Basundhara is a member of the network. She recently joined Bachelors in Dental Surgery. She loves to do art whenever she is free.
DINESH BK
Dinesh is a member of Shine Together. He completed his high school in management and is currently working in the hospitality industry. He wrote this poem a couple of years ago and presented in one of the workshops related to child rights and prevention of family separation where the Government officials, practitioners were presented. He received a lot of appreciation from the audience for his poem.
JUNU LAMA
Junu Lama is one of the active members of the network. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor in Business Studies. She is also a Change Agent and she loves to write poems. She stayed in the orphanage for over 7 years.
SANGITA LAMA
Sangita is also one of the members of the network. She completed her high school in the arts sector. She has also contributed from her art works on the network and DGD submission for the protection of child rights.

UPCOMING PLANS EXPANSION OF NETWORK
Connect with organisations that work to prevent family separation. Introduce SHINE TOGETHER and invite more young people to become members. Engage with young people through events, meetings and group activities. Make new members feel welcome.
PROJECT PLANNING
Offer training to improve public speaking skills and techniques for young people builds confidence and capacity. This will help with language barriers and increase communication skills. Learn and use basic formatting and technological skills. Improve documentation and record the establisment and work of SHINE TOGETHER.
INTERACTIONS AND EXCHANGE PROGRAMS
Conduct live events and webinars to share and exchange the stories of individual and the network. Strengthen connections and networks with each other.
COLLABORATING WITH DIFFERENT NETWORKS
Connect with youth clubs to participate in campaigns and webinars together.
SELLING ART & CRAFTS
Raise funds and fair wages through design and sketch services for webinars and campaigns.
