B RO K E R ENGAGING IN STRATEGIC ALLIANCES ACROSS SECTORS AND INDUSTRIES

Emerald Cities Seattle Emerald Cities and HDC have partnered to launch the E-Contractor Academy, a 7-week training program in 2020 for women and people of color-owned sub-contracting firms to gain the skills and knowledge needed to successfully bid on energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. As stricter energy efficiency codes continue to be mandated, we want to ensure everyone benefits from technical advances and growth opportunities.

NAMI HDC, along with NAMI Washington, continues to fight for investments in Housing First and Permanent Supportive Housing programs at the state level for the most vulnerable Washingtonians. These programs provide necessary supports to people living with mental illness in such a way that they keep people healthy, productive, and thriving.

Tech 4 Housing HDC became the fiscal sponsor of Tech 4 Housing, a community of tech workers who believe the tech boom can and should benefit every resident. Tech 4 Housing works to engage the tech community through educational outreach and advocacy.Â

Seattle for Everyone HDC, along with Seattle for Everyone partners, championed the citywide passage of the Housing Affordability and Livability Agenda and Mandatory Housing Affordability rezones in March 2019. This partnership has also successfully supported the passage of citywide accessory dwelling units and detached accessory dwelling unit legislation and other policies to thoughtfully increase housing production, affordability, and community supports. 78
