Every year we are proud to present our cold weather accessories collection created in partnership with our network of artisan entrepreneurs in Peru. Our pieces always feature an exploration in texture through stitches or experimentation with different yarns. All of our pieces are made from the super soft and sustainable alpaca fiber, native to Peru. Our yarn comes directly from the animals that live in the highlands of Peru. It is known for being one of the most sustainable animal fibers because the alpacas have a very low impact from what they eat and how they graze. Our garments are super resistant, having little to no pilling, and will last a very long time with little care. Unlike sheep’s wool, Alpaca is also hypoallergenic because it doesn’t contain lanolin which can cause rashes in some people. We have worked many years directly with the yarn mills in Peru and have developed our own special yarns that we especially love.
