Ivory MAKES TWO 4 3⁄ 5-OUNCE (138-ML) DRINKS AT 13.9% ALCOHOL BY VOLUME, 7.9 G/100 ML SUGAR, 0.81% ACID

INGREDIENTS 5 ⁄ ounces (165 ml) Dolin Blanc vermouth (16% alcohol by volume, roughly 13 g/100 ml sugar, roughly 0.6% acid) 1 ounce (30 ml) vodka (40% alcohol by volume) 2 ounces (60 ml) filtered water 4 drops saline solution or 2 pinches of salt Flat ⁄ ounce (21 ml) freshly strained lime juice 1

PROCEDURE The day before you plan to make the drinks combine the vermouth, vodka, water, and saline or salt. Pour the mixture into a Ziploc bag, exclude all air from the bag, and freeze. At drink time, put the mix directly from the freezer into a blender, add the lime juice, blend to a slush, and serve by itself or with Ebony. THE JUICE SHAKE
