Urbana, IA

Projection Systems CEC provides projection design and integration assistance for a variety of presentation environments. From K-12 classrooms to large-venue auditoriums, our projection solutions feature design quality, and are proven to succeed in mission-critical applications. Our mounting systems securely conceal audio/video switching and amplification components, and are also ADAcompliant. We also offer wireless and networking options, which eliminate connectors, cords, and machines that don’t communicate.

East-Central Iowa REC is made up of member-consumers from the former Benton County ECA and Buchanan County REC. Established in 1996, East-Central Iowa REC distributes electricity today to more than 6,800 member-consumers. It energizes more than 8,400 meters in 11 counties, and maintains more than 2,250 miles of electric lines.

Telepresence Technology-rich presentation environments use telepresence systems to enhance local, regional, and global communication. Telepresence is also evolving to include mobile technology. Systems like these help bridge the gap between offices, campuses, and medical complexes throughout the world, eliminating the barriers of time, distance, and resources. Let CEC work with your organization to design an infrastructure that integrates high-performance, flexible, and scalable systems.

East-Central Iowa REC was looking for a VoIP phone solution from a specific vendor. The cooperative’s existing phone system was at least 15 years old, and lacked features the organization wanted to use to increase productivity. Linn County REC and Eastern Iowa Light & Power had similar VoIP phone solutions (also provided by CEC), and East-Central Iowa REC was hoping for a similar network set-up.

CEC demonstrated a possible VoIP phone solution for East-Central Iowa REC, and it worked just like the cooperative expected. After the phone system was in place, the organization called on CEC to design and install an IP camera system and a two-way radio solution. After partnering with CEC, East-Central Iowa REC has:  Plug-and-play simplicity that lets IT staff members arrange, manage, and troubleshoot the cooperative’s phone system from any location.

(For a full list of our product partners, visit www.cecinfo.com.)

“We were confident we’d get what we wanted from CEC after we saw what they had done for other organizations. The price was pretty comparable, too. In terms of our VoIP system, this phone solution is much better than what we had before. I don’t have to call anyone to fix it … I can do it myself since the phones are on the network.” - Nathan Groom Information Services Administrator East-Central Iowa REC

 Reduced time spent on phone maintenance and updates. Tasks like establishing a new phone extension are completed faster.

Integrated Control Systems

Digital Signage

 A phone solution with distributed architecture that has no single point of failure; each switch and site functions as an independent call processor. This makes the phone system more reliable, which is crucial to East-Central Iowa REC (especially during emergencies).

The control system is the brain of any complex AV solution. CEC incorporates intuitive graphics and touch capabilities to manage a single conference room or telepresence spaces that span the country. IP-linked solutions provide feedback on system status; they can also manage assets for small and large organizations. Our control solutions centralize audio and video control, and easily integrate with security, lighting, and HVAC systems.

CEC can help you send the right message with your digital signage, whether it’s a simple announcement, an interactive advertisement for upcoming events, or weather/emergency alerts. Digital signage options have evolved from low-resolution content to stunning HD images, and CEC can provide the technology necessary to distribute and maintain signal integrity within your office, between campuses, or across the globe.
