People behind the brands Getting to know.... Sarah-Jane Fedarb Where will we find you at BETA International? Finest Brands International (Toggi/Champion)stand F3.2 What’s the big news on your stand? We’re really excited to unveil our latest Toggi collection for A/W 2014 which contains so many gorgeous new pieces. Our new Toggi footwear range is sure to be a big hit and will hopefully go on to win awards like our Calgary, Canyon and Blenheim boots have in the past. We will also unveil some exciting new developments under the Champion brand. Alongside some gorgeous new colours and bling designs, our safety design team has been working towards incorporating some dramatic new technological developments and all will be revealed on our stand. There are lots of reasons to be optimistic about 2014, what’s yours? As a very family oriented company, 2013 was a challenging year for us with the death of my father and our company chairman – John Ayres. John was a wonderful husband, father, a loyal friend and an astute businessman. He has left behind an immensely successful company with a huge legacy for us to continue to build upon. My sister Charlotte, the financial director, and I are looking forward to 2014 and continuing in his footsteps with the wonderful, talented and dedicated team of people and products that make up the FBI family. When did you last ride a horse/sail a boat/climb a mountain/arrange flowers? Although I love the outdoors, it doesn’t love me! Like a lot of riders who wear glasses, I struggle with my sight when riding, so this year I’m looking forward to having my eyes lasered which will make riding more enjoyable. My whole family enjoy spending time with our horses, both those currently in training and those who have retired and are treated like domestic pets at home on my family’s farm. What are you looking forward to most about BETA International 2014? Probably 9pm or 10 pm on Tuesday when the stand is packed up, we’re back at the hotel and we can finally relax after what will have been a very busy three days! But in all seriousness, we enjoy the whole process, the twoday build up, ensuring that the new products are displayed well to help make the most of the time that our customers dedicate to visiting us and to help them select what is right for their own consumer base. As a company that’s 100% committed to supporting our retailers, we are looking forward to meeting all our customers and having the opportunity to discuss how we can work as a team to fulfil our customers’ requirements, succeed and become even stronger together.
