Sport

Sport and activity is a key aspect of a pupil’s life at Emanuel. All pupils are encouraged to take part and try new opportunities, regardless of skill or experience.

A number of sports practices and clubs take place at lunchtime and after school on-site, at Blagdons Sports Ground or ‘away’ at other venues. The school boathouse is located on the north bank of the River Thames, just east of Barnes Bridge. Emanuel School rowing teams regularly compete at national level.

Transport is provided for away fixtures or those taking place at Blagdons Sports Ground unless otherwise stated. On the day of fixtures pupils should meet at the sports ground. We prefer all our pupils to travel together. However, if it is more convenient for you to transport your child directly, or if you would like your child to travel home independently or with an adult who is not their parent, it is important you contact your child’s coach via email 24 hours in advance.
