LITTLE LEAGUE MAKING HISTORY
Mike Ellis, 1980
The El Molino Little League Dodgers had a very busy time of it last week after winning their own league championship they set out to win the Intra-district Little League Championship Tournament. The first game saw Brian Glover pitch a win over Sonoma 7-4. Their next victory was accomplished when Mike Ellis pitched a no hitter against Mark West Cards, winning 14-2 behind the powerful hitting of Pat Sitton. Pat, the first girl in El Molino Little League History to be selected to the All-Star team, lashed a home run off losing pitcher Dave Leonard on a 4 for 4 hitting night. It was Sitton’s seventh homer of the season.
