WELCOME TO EVENT NORTHUMBRIA Event Northumbria is a contemporary conference and events venue in the heart of Newcastle city centre. Situated within the landscaped grounds of the Northumbria University campus, Event Northumbria offers a variety of flexible event spaces which can be adapted to suit your specific needs. Event Northumbria offers some of Newcastle’s largest venues with the capacity to accommodate up to 2000 guests in our main hall. A further selection of smaller spaces includes a 200 seat performance space and a stylish catering and bar area featuring a large outdoor terrace.

OUR VENUES We have a variety of venues which are suitable for conventions, exhibitions, conferences, banqueting and performances. DOMAIN Domain is one of the city’s largest hireable spaces. It can accommodate up to 600 seated delegates in light and airy surroundings. A key feature of this space is the floor to ceiling drapes which can be used to divide the room into three separate areas if required. Useful for breakout sessions or to host a drinks reception and dinner within the same venue but in separate areas.

HABITA Habita is our stylish cocktail bar; exposed brickwork and booth seating provide relaxed and modern surroundings. For summer events you will also benefit from access to our outdoor terrace area which accommodates up to 160 guests. This space is perfect for social events, formal receptions and parties. We can offer a range of exciting catering options including BBQ’s, street food and hog roasts.

REDS Reds is one of our fantastic bars and is a popular venue for, parties, conference socials and catering/exhibition space. With raised seating areas, cosy leather booths and a curtained VIP area, Reds has an intimate feel even though it can accommodate up to 1,000 guests. A large dance floor and built in DJ booth make for a readymade party venue and the built in stage allows for live music and other entertainment


ESCAPE A multi-purpose area adjacent to our largest venue, Escape can accommodate a range of events and can be hired independently as an additional space for events taking place in Domain. A great space for a drinks reception, small exhibition or conference break area, Escape can accommodate between 40 – 200 guests dependant on layout.

STAGE 2 A modern and highly adaptable space which is suitable for theatre, lectures, live performances and more. Stage 2 features an integrated PA system, cinema size projection screen, professional lighting rig and access to a soundproof control room with viewing gallery. Offering maximum flexibility, Stage 2 is equipped with retractable bleacher seating allowing the space to be used flat, tiered theatre style or banqueting.

TRAINING ROOMS We have a number of well equipped training rooms which accommodate between 12 and 40 delegates. Each room has built in AV facilities which are included in the hire cost. These rooms can be booked for a full day for training or on an hourly basis for meetings, interviews and presentations.


CHRISTMAS We cater for party nights, formal dinners and bespoke events for up to 1,000 guests. Our Christmas party packages offer fantastic value for money and our experienced events team will ensure that your guests have a night to remember.

FOOD & DRINK We offer a wide range of catering options to suit your needs. Set menus are available for buffet lunches, formal dinners, fork buffets, BBQ’s, street food and even afternoon tea. We pride ourselves on our flexibility and therefore also offer a bespoke menu service and our chefs will work with you to create the perfect dishes to compliment your event.
