10:00 am 10:00 am

Dear Fellow Members, I’ve always stated that we have an incredible amount of friendly, kind, and compassionate people who make the Sheila Ray Adult Center a second home. We work together through thick and thin, but still remain family. One prime example of the kind of people we have at our senior center is the amount of volunteering many of our members log in. I was beaming with pride in May when a large number of our members and I attended the RSVP Recognition Brunch for volunteers and heard the number of hours our volunteers put in. We recorded in an incredible 10,241 hours during 2017! Thank you and congratulations to all of our terrific members who give of themselves by volunteering for various services. Here is a quote that spells it all out: “Volunteers are unpaid, not because they’re worthless, but because they’re priceless!” Our fearless leaders, Colleen and Gina, have done it again. After having successful luncheons, Taco bout a Party in May, and Carnival in June- they have come up with something even better. On Thursday, August 30th at 6:00 PM, the Sheila Ray Adult Center will be hosting a prom night. Activities for prom night include dancing, music, food and elections of king and queen of the prom. My wife didn’t go to my prom with me for the same reason a girl turned down the invisible man, she just couldn’t see herself going with me! Good programs. Good people. Good times. Rod Marino, President
