he annual SAGIC convention was held from the 7-9th of June at the Protea
Hotel in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. Aside from a picturesque venue, fantastic line up of speakers and demonstrations by industry influencers- this convention offered the green industry professionals information on new trends, techniques, challenges and opportunities facing the profession. This year SAGIC joined hands with SANA (South African Nurseries Association) and SALI (South African Landscape Institution)

the annual awards honouring both individuals and companies would have made valuable contributions to our green industry. The SALI awards of excellence offered its members the opportunity to enter completed projects and showcase their workmanship and professionalism to their peers. There were many commendable projects with merit, bronze, silver and gold awards for these categories: Waterwise, Specialised Landscape Construction, Landscape and Turf Maintenance, Specialised Turf Construction, Environmental Landscape Work, Landscape Construction With Design by Others, Landscape Construction With InHouse Design.
