The Muffin-top Workout:

Fat-burning moves target that annoying waistband bulge. by S.Dylon Recover for one to two minutes at an easier pace about a 5 on your toughness scale. Repeat those hard and easy intervals for a total of 20 minutes. Once you get the interval rhythm down, throw in some spurts in which you’re working at an 8 or 9 on your intensity scale to challenge your body and burn even more fat. Cool down for five minutes at a light pace.

The muffin top, that back-of-the-hips area that bulges over the waistband of our favorite jeans. Yeah that thing, “It’s body fat, plain and simple. And the fastest way to get rid of it is by doing cardio.Yup more exercise okay here’s the thing, by mixing intense bursts with slower periods, intervals torch calories faster than exercising at a steady pace. The muffin-busting plan These intervals work with any cardio exercise you like—such as walking, biking or jogging. Start off with a five-minute warm-up at a low-to-moderate intensity to get your blood flowing. Pick up the pace for one minute; the effort required should be about a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10—1 being effortless and 10 being extremely tough. Speed isn’t the only way to boost intensity; try increasing the treadmill incline, running stairs or hopping onto a tough cardio machine like a stair-stepper.

The frog (A) Get into a raised push-up position. (B) In one fluid motion, slowly bring left knee in toward your chest, lift leg out to left side, push leg behind you, straighten knee and return to start position. Then do the move in reverse (start by lifting left leg out to side) to complete the rep. DO TWO SETS OF SIX REPS ON EACH SIDE. Ultimate toe reach (A) Lie face-up on floor with arms stretched out to each side at shoulder height, legs straight, feet about hipwidth apart. (B) Lifting shoulder blades off the ground as high as you can, simultaneously raise left arm and right leg off the ground, trying to touch toes. Return to start position and repeat. DO TWO SETS OF 10 REPS ON EACH SIDE. Weighted walking lunge (A) Stand with feet shoulder-width apart; hold a dumbbell with both hands, arms straight in front at shoulder height. (B) Take a big step forward with left leg, lower into a lunge, and twist torso to the left, as shown. Rise to start position, then switch sides by lunging with right leg and twisting to the right. DO TWO SETS OF 12 REPS ON EACH SIDE.

Women’s Health: Everything You

Don’t Know About Your Lady part but by S.Dreisbach

Is it better to sleep commando? It’s not a bad idea, especially if you’re prone to itching or irritation. Sleeping commando gets oxygen to the tissue and allows sweat and moisture to evaporate instead of sticking around and bugging your skin. How big is the vagina? The vagina has a pretty miraculous ability to expand, by as much as 200 percent in width alone to accommodate, an incoming penis or an outgoing baby. But in everyday life, the average vagina is only three to four inches long Just how much discharge) is actually normal? I’m pretty sure my mother has never uttered the word vagina. When I was growing up, she’d refer to any “down there” matters with a sweeping gesture that could have meant anything south of my belly button and north of Bali. I think she figured she’d leave it to a pro: my appointed health instructor, who was actually the gym teacher, and who began his lecture on female anatomy by writing breast up on the board. (I’m not joking.) But surely, in today’s high-speed information age, women are better informed about their sexual health, right? Nope. Young women don’t know as much as they used to about their sexual health. The problem is, women now believe that because they can go to the Web, it eliminates the need for them to have a base of knowledge about their body. So let’s fill in those blanks now. Here we go, girls! First things first: How do I know if I’ve had an orgasm? Orgasms take time and practice to figure out. And no, you won’t necessarily be rocketed to another dimension of glitter and rainbows when you have one. “But there is a difference between just the pleasure of being intimate with someone and the pleasure and release of orgasm. When you have one, you’ll most likely know.

Discharge should be clear or a very light yellow and shouldn’t be sticky or have a bad odor to it, If it does, see your ob-gyn, whether your discharge is normal or not, you should never try to spare your panties by wearing a pad the pad is trapping moisture down there. Then her body senses something’s not normal and sends more discharge to try to clear the problem out. Just wear breathable cotton underwear, change them if necessary and let your body take care of business.

What’s the best way to keep my lady parts clean? The best thing you can do is bathe with a washcloth and warm water. Unless you literally smell something fishy down there ( see your gyno). Can masturbating help or hurt my sex life? What about using vibrators? For the most part, a little self-love is a good thing. It teaches you what you like and how to get yourself to orgasm. Using a vibrator a lot has the potential to raise your orgasmic threshold, making it hard for your partner to stimulate you in the same way it does.

Half Moon

2

Half Moon is the island's most upscale all-inclusive resort (although it's also possible to book just lodgings, if you'd rather avoid the package thing). The 398 rooms, suites, cottages, and villas here are spread over a 400-acre property, which includes a pair of white, crescent-shaped beaches (one for sunrise, one for sunset), and, well, just about everything else you can imagine. For starters, there's a Trent Jones par-72 golf course, a tennis academy, squash courts, and an equestrian center. There's also an outdoor mall, a 68,000-square-foot spa, a gym, six restaurants, seven bars, and a pool for every week of the year (although some of these are for private villas). There's a whole kiddie village for the little ones, with a pool, a water slide, and even a lagoon with two resident dolphins (there's an extra charge for petting them, though). As for the lodgings themselves, picture a plantation house transplanted from Dallas and you'll have a pretty good idea.

Forget the beach; this is one of the most breathtakingly romantic spots in Jamaica. Set 3,000 feet up in the forested slopes of the Blue Mountains, it has views of Kingston and its great sweep of bay far below. Wooden walkways link three hilltop pavilions (bar, restaurant, library/lounge) with the guest rooms, a collection of 12 charming Georgian-style cottages ranging between 400 and more than 3,000 square feet. Each of the 18 rooms is elegantly furnished— period sideboards, cane chairs, sofas, exotic antiques and artifacts, mahogany four-poster beds draped with netting—but also comes with modern perks like minibars, heated mattress pads (evenings in the mountains can be chilly), and a selection of CDs. The room known as 59 Steps is almost swallowed up by banana plants and ferns; Mountain View lives up to its name; and Birds Hill, a one-bedroom suite, has its own gazebo with a hot tub screened from the view of every creature except the birds.

Jamaica Inn This is one of Jamaica's class acts. During high season, most men wear jackets to dinner—not because they have to, but because the seaside terrace with its balusters, candlelit tables, china and crystal, and quietly playing live band makes dressing up feel appropriate. The 51 guest rooms, spread among five buildings along a beach and six acres of lawns, are modeled on traditional island villas. Enclosed, air-conditioned sleeping quarters— with four-poster beds, antique repro furnishings, and floral upholstery—lead to spacious private loggias furnished as outdoor living rooms, with overstuffed sofas and wing chairs. Beach Wing suites put you closest to the sand, but some guests prefer the East Wing, where the terraces look out over rolling green lawns and the sea beyond. The newest and most opulent lodgings on the property are four private cottages, set apart from the main hotel. They're conveniently adjacent to the KiYara Ocean Spa, which offers moonlight massage on a seaside, flower-surrounded veranda.

Ritz-Carlton Golf & Spa Resort, Rose Hall Its driveway seems to be longer, its porte cochere grander, than at other Jamaican resorts, and a brigade of doormen leap to swing open the big bronze-and-glass doors. Inside, the 40-foot-high lobby of polished mahogany faces a wall of tall windows overlooking the gardens, the pool, and the beach. The 427 guest rooms are exactly what you expect from the Ritz-Carlton—plump multi-pillowed beds with Frette linens, antique reproduction furnishings, lavish marble baths, large balconies—although only a quarter of them face directly onto the sea. It's worth shelling out a little extra for a room on the fifth-floor Club Level for its dedicated concierge, computer access, and continuous food and beverage service. Among the six on-site dining options, Jasmine, with its innovative Caribbean-Asian cuisine, is the standout.

BREAST CANCER: survivor stories

In July 2005, at the age of 33, I found a lump in my right breast that was causing me a fair amount of pain. When I went to the doctor, I was told that it most likely was not cancer, because cancer doesn't hurt. Boy was that doctor wrong. She stuck me with needles to try and drain what she believed to be a cyst, but without luck. Finally, she decided to send me for a mammogram and an ultrasound, just in case, but still reassuring me it was more than likely just a cyst. I waited three weeks for my appointment, and two days later, I received the scariest news ever. The next day I saw a surgeon, and the day after was in surgery having a biopsy done. It's amazing how fast they can move. August 8th, 2005, just a little over a week after being diagnosed, I had a radical mastectomy of the right breast. After six FEC 100 chemotherapy treatments and five weeks of radiation, I am still here,

thankfully, to tell my story. I have since had re-construction surgery and was so lucky to find the surgeon I did. What an awesome job he did for me! The love and support of my family and friends helped me get through this experience. My two beautiful girls cheered me on, and supported me through this journey, and it is because of them that I am here to write my story. If there is any advice I can give everyone, it would be if a doctor ever tells you it can't be cancer as it doesn't hurt, don't listen. Get a second opinion immediately! To anyone just going through this awful disease, keep fighting, you can do it. I never wish to take back this experience, and journey I was on. It has made me into the person I am today, the person I really like, and am happy to be. - Denise Czop from Ontario

My dear, beloved mother passed away from her third bout of breast cancer, on February 22nd, 2008. Now she was a survivor! My mother, Mary McLean, of Honeywood, Ontario, fought this aggressive disease with everything she had, and miraculously Mom held on for thirteen years—which was completely unheard of in the medical world! Mom told me it was because of my beautiful little daughter, Madeleine, who was born a mere four months before she was diagnosed. I had never seen a woman so brave! With courage and determination, Mom walked up the stairs to the hospital, where she would submit to an operation removing one of her breasts, and lymph nodes. I will never forget that day. It is engrained in my head, forever— watching her walk up the six steps, and as terrified as she must have been, she never looked back at me and the baby, sitting in the car. Because if she had, perhaps she would have lost her nerve. I will never know, as one bout after another, my mother fought valiantly every step of the way. Through chemo, radiation, and more aggressive surgery, finally she succumbed, after it had ravaged her organs. When we were told that she had only four more weeks to live, it became the most horrible time for our family, as the pain consumed her. Finally, she took her last breath, while holding my sister's hand, as my brother and I were away from the hospital at that time. I miss her so much, that I feel it is unbearable. I want everyone to know that Mom beat all the odds, and she hung on, like the trouper she was, because she told me she lived for Madeleine, and that was her focus. To live another day, and see her darling grand-daughter, as she took one more step towards her eternity, and left us all blessed with her legacy of amazing courage for her daughters, son, and grandchildren to all witness, as we let go of her into the arms of God. -Lorraine Waller from Ontario

How To Deal With Being A Third Wheel by L.D

Oh boy! It does suck when your friend is dating and your not. When that happens you automatically become a third wheel when they go out, believe me it’s no fun. I’ve definitely been in situations where a third party dive-bombed my date, and it can be pretty awkward. But here’s how to deal with the situation if it happens to you. Obviously, not all couple are considerate of their third wheel. So here are some tips on how to deal with being a third wheel:

should stop them (unless they are kinky!) because they will think it is funny or they will think YOU are gross! 5. You are a third wheel and suddenly, the couple start fighting. Do not get sucked into the fight. Do not take sides. Do not cough nervously and try and find excuses to walk away. Enjoy the moment! Yeah, you may be single and yeah, you may be a third wheel, but hey there is nothing wrong with that. Be glad that you don’t have such childish fights.

1. Don’t be a third wheel! Don’t go to the movies, dinner, outing if you know in advance that you are going to be a third wheel. Just find something else to do. 2. If you cannot get out of that movie, dinner, outing invite, then add another wheel! Bring another friend with you. 3. You are a third wheel and the couple you are with keep stroking each other’s hair and winking at each other. Two can play at that game! Just do the same thing to the person you are the same sex with. If you are a girl, do what the guy does to the girl. If you are a guy, do what the girl does to the guy. Because if you do this to the person in the opposite sex, it’s not going to go down well with their other half!! 4. You are a third wheel and everything is going okay until the couple start kissing. Gross, right? Well, don’t say “Gross, get a room guys!” because for some bizarre reason, this turns them on and they start getting into it! Instead, try this line, “Oh yeah, that’s sexy! Mm…! It’s getting me all turned on!” That ES MAGAZINE | 16

It’s OK Not To Have A Type, Right? by J.D

We all have “That” friend who feels they are the greatest match maker in the world right? After awhile it gets really frustrating and annoying doesn’t it. I feel the same way about people who have a clear type when it comes to dating. Lately I’ve had several people ask me what type of guy I’m interested in. These are usually people I’ve just met, who apparently want to set me up with whatever single men they might know immediately. (I’m starting to think I reek of desperation). Nobody really wants to be set up with anyone. And as usual I end up shrugging or avoiding the question. Because I really don’t know! The men I’ve dated or hooked up with don’t really seem to have a very strong connection amongst them, either in looks or personality. I like to think of myself as open to all possibilities of men, but it kind of seems to aggravate people.

Reasons to why I don’t like to commit to a type: I have things I like about guys in theory, but they don’t always pan out. I tend to like to be with guys who are on the big and strong side, but wouldn’t you know it, I’ve fallen for several slender types along the way. Enough about the physical notes, I appreciate intelligence and humor, but often I end up turned off by guys I think are showy about their smarts or too jokey. So maybe I just don’t even know what I actually like! Is that bad? At 21, should I have a better idea of what I'm attracted to in a potential boyfriend? Or am I just open-minded? I know how my potential match makers seem to feel: Get it together so we know who to set you up on a (probably miserable) blind date with! But I’m still young I have time.

bona fide voice and style by LaLaDale

Toronto has remarkable talents, and one that is soon to take over is Shi Wisdom, her voice is unmistakably bona fide. With rousing and gritty lyrics it’s no wonder she is on the radar, of many. Shi Wisdom was absorbed in many programs in the arts, which allowed her to discover her musical talent of singing and passion for music. Inspired by musical prodigies such as Prince, Smokie Norful, Stevie Wonder, and Bob Marley, it has helped to develop Shi’s creative musical presence. Wisdom being a level 8 classically trained pianist, at the Royal Conservatory of Music. Q- Do you ever get lost in the “music”, the creation process? A-The creation of music requires for you to get “lost”….but the real word, in my opinion, is finding yourself in the music. Q- What do you think makes your music authentic? A-My music is authentic because it comes from within me. I write and compose and am a part of the entire creation process. Q- Which one of your songs are your absolute favorites? A-Penny is my favorite track, by myself, at the moment. Q- What type of audience do you feel you have? A-I’m not sure what type of audience I have. Lovers of my music seem to come from all walks of life and all ages. Q- When Shi isn’t on stage what does she do? A-When Shi isn’t on stage, she’s writing, composing, mentoring and LIVING. Q- Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years? A- In the next 5 years, I see myself doing the exact same thing, but on a much bigger scale. Signed or not. Q- Why the name “Shi Wisdom”? A-“Shi” is a high school pet name. Wisdom is my real last name. Q- Do you think you have any competition in the game as of now? A- I’m not a competitive person, by nature, so I’m not quite sure how to answer this question. I believe there is room in this world for everyone’s art to be heard and appreciated. There’s an audience for everything!

shi Wisdom: Bona fide voice and style

Q- What was it like to hear your own creation/song on the radio for the first time? A- It was surreal. I almost didn’t believe that it was on the radio and checked to see if I had a CD playing. Lol. Q- When did you decide to continue on with your singing career? A-I decided to take singing seriously about 2 1/2 years ago. Since then, it’s been the slow, steady climb. Q- So far in the music business what has been your proudest moment, or your greatest accomplishment thus far? A-My proudest moment was gaining my mother and grandparents as fans. They’re my harshest critics. Q- If you could tour with anyone who would it be? A-I’d tour with Erykah Badu, most definitely. Q- What was the first song you wrote? A-I really can’t remember! Lol. Shi’s first single, Love Speak was released spring of 2011 and has received positive feedback from music lovers everywhere even industry personnel’s. Her song, “R.I.P. (I’m Ready For Ya)”, which she co-wrote with Toronto alum, Drake, appears on Rita Ora’s debut album, and sits high atop the UK music charts. And she recently launched her EP, “LVSPK”, at an event that sold out in the first 72 hours. Shi has performed at numerous venues and events all around the city building her stage portfolio. With only a mix tape and a number of recorded tracks, Shi’s gained a large following that only continues to grow. Wisdom is continuously writing more songs to add to her long collection of yet-to-be released music. As Shi continues to develop her craft, there’s no telling what’s next, but something is coming.

Sit Down With: SAYDIS WHAT YOU KNOW & DON’T KNOW by J.D

Have you been moved by your music?? YES, Ihave two tracks that made me say wow, is this me...its off my brand new mixtape Above and beyond thats on mediafire. I got a bit personal with these tracks telling stories from my life and about my situation with my dad, speaking out the death of a friend and about females who are doing ill jobs to make it in life you just real things and hearing it and seeing where I came from with the dirty songs I had done made me give myself a pat on the back for the transition to a better artist.

Saydis Goodall, was inspired to become a rapper by the lyrically pronounced Tupac. His words of wisdom and clarity had changed Saydis life completely. As a child growing up Saydis had the dream of becoming a pilot, rising above the clouds, but after being inspired Saydis has created a new dream of not soaring to new heights in a plane but in ranking as his inspirer, with hopes of one day becoming as great as he was. In the process of emerging and being recognized as a young rapper in Jamaica, Saydis took his first job at rapping at the tender age of twelve. In many cases your first attempt at doing something may not be your best and it was the case here. However, Saydis was not discouraged; he then took another shot a year later when he recorded his first freestyle that was better than any song he ever wrote at that time. He then progressed by recording in his house with a broken microphone and his out dated lap top. A few songs later Saydis was being recognized by the multitude, fellow friends and friends of his friends. Though he has not made it to the top Saydis continues to make music and with over 70 songs already recorded, 2 mix tapes deep he has high hopes that he will become successful some how, some way. “The Jamaican rapper who wants to be an American legend.”

What is your artist name & what is the meaning towards it? The name I go by is Saydis, and its simple, break it down in two halves. Its some what of a command, telling people to say this (whatever I rapped about in any of my song), memorize it and spit it back out. How long have you been doing this for? Music on a whole it has been nine years but taking the rap music seriously it has been five years total of just making music. Do you feel that this is what you should be doing? Honestly I feel like this is what I’m supposed to be doing with my life, I have no love for none of my other talents like the love i have for music and I think if I wasn’t rapping i would do something music related. sit down with: saydis

Who is an artist you would work with OR want to work with? I always dreamed of working with Tupac, I know he’s dead and all but on a remix track for an album or something, but I always wanted to work with Dmx and Cassie. What makes your music different from other artists? My music is different because I'm coming from the heart with it, you know with love not for the love of money because these artist don't see what they are doing to the young people, BRAINWASHING and yet they don't care they only in for cheese and any eye witness can see - Hopsin. What do you think your style is as an artist? My style as an artist right now, is natural thats my style... being myself not following society and the love for vanity. Who am I? just a simple young man by the name of saydis who is in love with music. No swag no gangsta just a simple young man. Is there anything else you would do other from what you are doing now? Not the one I want, but im blessed with the fans I have. I mainly have a jamaican audience at this time due to the fact I was on a freestyle battle show on R.E TV called face off and that kinda gave me the exposure I needed for motivation to keep going. How important is music to you? Music is very important to me, because I have a genuine love for this art, I can’t even explain how I care for this. Music is like my only child and I’m slowly him/her grow. I’m not in this for no money but for myself and the people who want to enjoy life and for the ones who need healing.

How or where did you start your journey as an artist? That’s funny because I started it all in Jamaica in high school St. Georges College in the 7th grade ill never forget, while I was supposed to be learning in my class me and my friends were beating desk tops and making music when the teacher stepped out or we have free time lol and everyone was telling how good i was but way back before I was writing my own material in Primary school St.Richards Primary when 50 Cent came out with the track wanksta i use to rap it to everybody like it was my own so the passion was there from a tender age and i just grew into it. How far are you willing to take your music? As far as I can, you know I work off life and life ways you can’t make anything happen thats not going to happen you understand what I’m saying...so as far as the people let me I should say, if given the opportunity I want to take it around the world and back because now is the time in my life where I can say i cleaned up pretty good. I’m more conscious of what I write and when I write I try to bring off a positive message every time i do so because the world needs healing.

Rule #1

Rule #5

DO think about the mood you're trying to commun cate

DO store bright lipsticks in the fridge

First, consider whether you’re going for a classic lip look, like rich red, or something more punchy, like coral or orange.

Sure, your boyfriend or BFF might think you’re crazy, but storing your lipstick in the fridge will prolong its life and make it easier to use as well.

Rule #6

Rule #2

DON'T pair with heavy eye makeup

This one may seem like a no-brainer, but if you’re already rocking a loud pout, there’s no need to seriously play up your peepers too.

DO exfoliate your lips first

To allow for a better, smoother application, apply a thick lip balm, and using a soft baby toothbrush, gently brush your lips back and forth.” This will slough away all the dead skin, which is more apparent on bright lips. You can also try a lip scrub.

Rule #3

DO choose a matching lip pencil

Because full coverage bright lipstick does take some skill to apply

Rule #4

DON'T wear these colors if you're concerned about yellow teeth

While blue-based reds tend to make everyone’s smile look whiter and brighter, Dimitri says that coral and poppy red lip colors can actually make your teeth appear more yellow. ES MAGAZINE | 28

Rule #7

DON'T exaggerate naturally full lips

Turns out bright colors can make your lips look even larger! If you already have naturally full lips, don’t go over the lip line to create a more luscious pout,

Rule #8

DO test-drive a bold color with a gloss or stain

Not everyone feels comfortable sporting a bold, matte pout, but brightly colored glosses are a fun way to try out the trend without fully taking the plunge

men 4 Brands to consider for Club Monaco Club Monaco continues to climb into mainstream menswear popularity thanks to designer Aaron Levine. Now backed by an attractive, easyto-use e-commerce site, the Ralph Lauren-owned label is proving to be a worthy rival of J. Crew. While both brands occupy the sweet spot between high-fashion and a run-of-the-mill “mall brand,” Club Monaco’s edge comes from its “new kid on the block” persona, which may attract customers that might be looking for something different, and we’re sure plenty will be pleasantly surprised.

Levi

Beyond the Americana-heavy Levi’s Vintage Collection, Levi’s has launched a variety of other lines that have landed them a spot on this list. Their Made & Crafted collection is chock-full of new takes on classic items from the Levi’s archive, whether it’s colorful interpretations of pants and shirt jackets, or a covetable hybrid varsity/trucker jacket. Meanwhile, their Commuter collection continues to meld the performance needs of the urban cyclist with a clean aesthetic, trim fit, and affordable price point. We can’t wait to see what else the brand has in store for 2012.

How to wear patterned tights:

MIX IT UP WITH YOUR STYLE The temperature is dropping here in Toronto and unless we want to get sick, we can’t continue to bare our legs to the world everyday like we did back in the summer. So, our legs need a warm friend to keep them company on these chilly days. Whether you call them nylons, pantyhose, stockings or tights, chances are we’ve all got a big drawer full of plain black ones to wear when the seasons start to get cold.If you’re cautious of pattern mixing, then let this be your chance to be bold. Even if there is no pattern in the rest of your outfit, It’s easy to incorporate fall’s trends into your wardrobe . So even if you’re not sure if you can pull off patterns elsewhere on your body, then just let those legs do the work for you.

By D.Dale

Adding patterned tights to your winter wardrobe is easy and inexpensive. It helps add more fun and detail to any outfit. Some choose a bolder pattern with large polka dots. This way you could mix tights with striped top. If you are uneasy about the large dots, try a smaller dot in sheer black. Lots of stores seem to be carrying patterned tights this season, so just shop around till you find that perfect pair! Or if you are like me, you might end up with a stock pile of patterned tights. Women of all shapes and sizes can pull off patterned tights, so long as they choose the right pair for their body type. I find that dark varieties are the most universally flattering, while bold, colorful prints are generally better suited to more slim figures.

ES MAGAZINE | 36

A polka dot or vertical stripe will also yield a slimmeddown appearance, whereas anything with a horizontal emphasis tends to add the illusion of bulk. Regardless of which print you choose, the beauty of patterned tights is that they can breathe new life into your wardrobe with very little investment, so don’t be afraid to branch out and try different styles — You never know which could be your perfect fit. If you’re a first time buyer on printed tights you need to make sure you buy a print that you will actually wear and that would go with the majority of your wardrobe, whether it be houndstooth, polka dots, or even a subtle leopard print, you would need something that would be easy for you to wear. Patterns are amazing and can add pop to an outfit easily. But when trying this trend on your legs, one must tone it down a bit to ensure not being over the top. But a key trick when rocking a pattern on your legs is to keep the rest of your look rather simple. Textured tights, both the nemesis and holy grail of a girl. I don’t exactly have chicken legs, and I’m definitely on the short end of the spectrum, so when it comes to the adorned tights trend, ladies on the petite side like I should choose patterns that are small and subtle. I also try to focus on keeping the rest simple when I’m wearing a cable knit, fishnet, or coloured tight.

As a pint-sized lady, I can assure you that patterned tights can be tamed for a petite frame! Patterned tights can be a nice change from traditional black, but when wearing these bold patterns you might feel like there is more you can do wrong than you can do right. The busier the pattern the simpler the outfit—Always remember the busier the pattern, the simpler the outfit. A great way to wear pattern tights is to match your tights to one of the colors in your outfit, so there is some fluidity to your ensemble.Layer neutrals with neutrals. Solid colored tights like burgundy, navy, smoky grey, forest green or wine coloured tights are another way to deviate from the norm, and usually can easily be combined with other neutral colored knee socks for a nice layered look. Tights are my favorite accessory when the temperatures drop! There is no such thing as looking bad while wearing a pair of black opaque tights with black footwear, the lines are lean and always accentuate the best of your legs. So I dare you to be brave that’s my challenge to you all.
