Not wiping off the sink when they’re done There’s nothing more
annoying than the giant blob of toothpaste that gets left in the sink after someone is done brushing their teeth. Some people wipe it up or rinse it down the drain when they are done. Others see no problem leaving it for their partner. Annoying?

Did You Know? Now You Do James Brown (CONTINUED)
JAMES BROWN 1933 - 2006
James Brown born in Snelling, South Carolina and publically known as the Godfather of Soul, provided inspiration for many through his musical influences.
Brown grew up working in the cotton fields, collecting lumps of coal, and shining shoes to help buy food for the family.
He established a self determination after dropping out of school to educate himself in music by building on the gospel roots from which he discovered in church. By the age of fifteen, Brown had formed his own band, the Cremora Trio. With this group, Brown began to establish a distinctive style. Brown, later, joined gospel singer Bobby Byrd and formed The Famous Flames.
The Flames were quick to advance to international acclaim. They brought rhythm and blues to life by playing anywhere they could. James used his music to break the boundaries of racial segregation that enveloped the United States in the 1950’s. Both blacks and whites became engrossed in the new musical phenomenon. In 1956, the Flames performed “Please, Please, Please” in front of a record company representative that led them to a recording contract and a song that surged to #6 on the R&B charts.
Mr. Brown went on to record 75 R&B Top 20 Hits (17 of which reached #1) and sold over 60 million records penning hits like “Papa’s got a brand new bag,” “I Feel Good,” “Don’t be a Dropout,” “Say it Loud, I’m Black and Proud,” and “Living in America.” His style came to symbolize a precursor for all who followed.
Despite the turbulent public life he faced, he was personally and privately known as a kind, generous man who reached out to the needy. He consistently helped underprivileged children and fed the poor. He sponsored a turkey-give-away and a book-give-away every year and his last act of kindness reflects it.
Hospitalized with pneumonia, James Brown left his hospital bed, went out in the cold rain to give out toys to needy children and died the next day …. Christmas.
Quotes
“Don’t terrorize. Organize. Don’t burn. Give kids a chance to learn … The real answer to race problems in this country is education. Not burning and killing. Be ready. Be qualified. Own something. Be somebody. That’s Black Power.”
Statement on national TV during the 1968 riots in Washington, DC after the Martin Luther King assassination.[1] • Manhood is what we profess, and what we try to get across. • A colored is a very frightenedto-death Afro-American. A
Negro is one that makes it in the system, and he wants to be white. A nigger, he’s loud and boisterous, wants to be seen. Nobody likes a nigger. A black man has pride. He wants to build, he wants to make his race mean something. Wants to have a culture and art forms.
And he’s not prejudiced. I am a black American man. Now you go ahead and print it. -On personal identity • It doesn’t matter how you travel it, it’s the same road. It doesn’t get any easier when you get bigger, it gets harder. And it will kill you if you let it.”

On Saturday a group of elected officials and leaders from across North Texas gathered at Paul Quinn College in an effort to address challenges facing the Black community through changes in policy and legislation.
Over 300 people attended the 6th Annual African American Leadership Institute Fall Summit to discuss ways to positively impact communities in the areas of healthcare, economic development, education, criminal justice and civic engagement. The keynote session featured former Dallas Police Chief and current Chicago Superintendent David Brown, current Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia, as well as Chief Al Jones of Arlington and Chief Neil Noakes, Fort Worth.
Quote from State Senator Royce West:
"The Summit and all of its activities were very impactful and we made real progress on the issues of criminal justice and economic development. We're leaving this summit with a goal of training elected officials and aspiring officials in public policy, communications, and community relations between now and the time we meet again next year."

Prenuptial Agreement: Praying for the Best and Prepared for the Worst with Miles Peterson

We’ve all heard the Kanye West lyric “If you ain’t no punk, holla we want prenup!” But what was he talking about and why was it important to the song? Prenuptial (also known as premarital) agreements are contracts that are entered into by future spouses before they are wed. The reasons a couple may enter into a prenup vary, but they are usually used to define how property will be divided in the event of a divorce.
Texas is one of nine community property states. This means that anything earned, bought, or comingled during a marriage is the community property of that marriage. Community property in Texas is usually split between the soon to be ex-spouses in a manner that is considered to be just and right. This usually takes the form of a half and half split. There are exceptions to these rules, but I will discuss those in a future article. A prenup can prevent its listed assets from being divided and split with your ex-spouse. For example, say you have a $5 million stock portfolio, you would obviously prefer that it and its growth during the marriage stay 100% your property after a divorce. What you would need to do is disclose this asset to your would-be spouse and insert a clause in the prenup stating that in the event of a divorce, your portfolio and any growth it gains during the marriage shall be considered your separate property.
Many people don’t like the idea of a prenuptial agreement as they believe it is planning for a failed marriage or only done for selfish reasons, but that is not the case. Nobody plans on getting in a car wreck, but it’s important to have car insurance if it happens. Furthermore, you can protect your spouse in a prenup just as easily as you can protect yourself. Just like assets and income, debt accumulated during the marriage is also considered community property. With a prenup, you may also include provisions to shield your spouse from any debts you may accumulate through the marriage.
Additionally, you can simply include provisions as to how you want certain things done in your marriage. Of course, whether some provisions will be enforceable by the court is another question entirely. While you may insert a clause that states how many children you will have and how they will be educated, you aren’t likely to get away with a clause that says you will have all boys by a certain date or the marriage is void.
DALLAS (Sept. 14, 2022) – With an eye toward the sky and the future, the University of North Texas at Dallas celebrated the dedication and opening of Ryan Tower with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held Tuesday, Sept.13. The tower is generously funded with a $2 million gift from Amanda and G. Brint Ryan, the latter of who is a former chairman of the University of North Texas System Board of Regents.
Ryan Tower will be a focal point of campus life in carrying out Trailblazer customs and traditions. The landmark tower is an icon of the university, representing higher learning. The 180-foot-high lighted tower includes a water feature,

donor wall, masonry seat walls and a lighted pedestrian plaza. It can be seen from miles away, making the university a prominent symbol of the community it serves.
"I believe education is the most powerful catalyst for change that there is. It lifts people out of poverty and gives them the opportunity to enjoy the full freedom that is the promise behind the American Dream," said G. Brint Ryan. “Amanda and I have shared our success here because we believe so much in the mission of UNT Dallas."
Ryan Tower is a tremendous source of pride for the students, administrators, faculty, staff, and the community. UNT Dallas President Bob Mong said, “Every time I see the tower, I am inspired. Without exception. For me, it symbolizes the heights our students and our future students will attain. I am grateful to the Ryan family for believing in UNT Dallas and its students, faculty and staff.”
In addition to the Trailblazer pride, students feel empowered by the tower. According to Jessica Armstead, former Student Regent of the UNT System Board of Regents and current UNT Dallas Student Government Association President, “Walking on campus and seeing Ryan Tower shows that UNT Dallas is growing and that the community is standing behind us on our way forward into the future. The light that shines from it makes students feel empowered to become a beacon, not only in their lives but in their homes and communities. Our future is bright, and that symbolism has been brought to campus through the generous donation and beautiful new structure.”
Ryan Tower, located in the center of campus, complements the campus’ design and is the latest structure to be added to the 264acre southern Dallas campus. VAI Architects facilitated the tower’s conceptual design. A design-build team accomplished the design and construction with Post L Group as the team leader and construction contractor, TreanorHL as the design architect and Vaughn Construction as a construction partner.

Russia To Legalize Use of Cryptocurrency In International Trade: In current conditions “it is impossible to do without cross-border settlements in cryptocurrency,” the Bank of Russia and Ministry of Finance have reportedly agreed. The Bank of Russia and the country’s Ministry of Finance have reconsidered their positions toward cryptocurrency, acknowledging it to be necessary to legalize the use of cryptocurrencies in crossborder settlements, per a report by local news outlet TASS. According to TASS, the two government bodies have agreed that “it is impossible” to continue without enabling cryptocurrency as a legal payment method for international trade….The move comes as Russia dabbles on how to best regulate the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency markets. Swamped in Western sanctions, the world’s largest country has sought alternatives to the U.S. dollar so as to guarantee the efficient trade of its commodities…
“When it comes to our ‘friendly’ countries, like China or Turkey, which don’t pressure us, then we have been offering them for a while to switch payments to national currencies, like rubles and yuan,” Zavalny said at the time. “With Turkey, it can be lira and rubles. So there can be a variety of currencies, and that’s a standard practice. If they want bitcoin, we will trade in bitcoin.”… Remember in May I said this was coming down. While XRP is in court against the SEC it has not stopped their growth outside of the USA. Remember I keep saying their will be two systems the centralized controlled system and the decentralized system. In addition, XRP can settle a whole interntional transaction within 3 seconds using different currencies while using the USA’s old SWIFT system can take 3 days to two weeks because everything is settled in US dollars. Now one can see why the USA is against Russia its all about money and control. One other crypto to look out for in this market is Algorand.
