rottura dell’imene e rottura dell’intimità e il desiderio di riscattare tante voci silenti. L’assenza di racconto intorno all’usanza del lenzuolo ci ha spinte ad incontrare le donne più anziane per raccogliere testimonianze e ad invitarle ad un gesto liberatorio e iconoclasta da realizzare insieme in piazza. In piazza perché si tratta del luogo pubblico per eccellenza, nel quale storicamente le donne hanno avuto così poca visibilità. Durante la performance pubblica le donne entrano in scena come soggetti attivi e col loro corpo danno vita ad un rituale collettivo inconsueto che rovescia la tradizione. La performance é allora il momento liberatorio per sovvertire le posizioni sociali e per trasformare il significato della macchia. Le abitanti diventano così artiste per un momento, per divertirsi, come gli artisti americani che hanno consacrato la gestualità nell’arte contemporanea mentre loro si schienavano sui campi. In questa particolare action painting collettiva si realizza un gesto iconoclasta paradossale. Esso infatti non distrugge la tradizione che per quanto si voglia umiliante è parte dell’identità, anzi, la riporta alla luce mettendone in mostra però un’altra versione in cui la macchia diviene il segno di un gesto attivo e ricreativo. Ricreativo è da intendere nel senso di creare altro, di ri-crearsi come donne ma anche e soprattutto nel senso di divertirsi e di provar piacere secondo il senso che il termine ha nel dialetto (addicriarsi, divertirsi).

The lack of stories around to the custom of the sheet has pushed us to meet the older women to gather evidence and to invite them to a liberating and iconoclastic gesture to be accomplished together in the square. In the square because it is the public place par excellence, in which women historically have had so little visibility. During the public performance women enter the scene as active subjects with their bodies and give birth to a collective ritual that reverses the unusual tradition. The performance is then the moment of liberation to subvert the social positions and to transform the meaning of the stain. The inhabitants become so artists for a moment, to have fun, like the American artists who have dedicated their gestures in contemporary art while laying in fields. In this particular collective action painting you achieve a paradoxical iconoclastic gesture. In fact, it does not destroy the tradition that, even if humiliating, it is part of the identity. On the contrary, it brings it to light putting in shows, however, another version in which the stain becomes the sign of a gesture and active recreation. The term recreation is to be understood in the sense of creating something else to recreate themselves as women but also in the sense of fun and take pleasure in the meaning of the dialect term “addicriarsi” i.e. having fun.
