Negativo

We don’t often watch TV. She doesn’t listen to music.

We aren’t watching TV now. She isn’t listening to music now.

Interrogativo

Do you usually tidy your room? Does he (ever) walk the dog?

Are you tidying your room now? Is he walking the dog now?

Wh- question

What do you do after lunch? Where does he go on holiday?

What are you doing now? Where is he going now?

We usually walk to school. Today we’re going by bus because we’re late!!!

Cerchia i verbi al Present simple e sottolinea quelli al Present continuous. How often do you tidy your room? Are you going to the park? 1 We are going to the swimming pool. 2 Do you like rock music? 3 What do they do in the evening? 4 We go to school from Monday to Friday. 5 Why is she crying? 6 I never watch reality shows on TV!

4 Si usa il Present simple per azioni abituali o frequenti, si usa il Present continuous per azioni che si stanno svolgendo nel momento in cui si parla. Il Present simple è spesso accompagnato da avverbi o espressioni di tempo che indicano la frequenza con cui l’azione viene compiuta e si coniuga con un ausiliare. Il Present continuous può essere accompagnato da espressioni di tempo che indicano il momento e segue la coniugazione del verbo be.

Coniuga i verbi tra parentesi al Present simple o continuous. I (meet) ____________ meet my friends every afternoon. Sophie (help) ____________ is helping her mother now. 1 We (chat) ____________ to our friends at the moment. 2 Nathan (watch) ____________ TV every evening. 3 Nevita (visit) ____________ her granny once a week. 4 Emilie (do) ____________ the shopping at the moment. 5 Mum (do) ____________ the shopping on Saturdays. 6 She (play) ____________ tennis now.
