It is a spotlight with linear compact design that integrates the optical assembly and the control gear in the same element. Available in three sizes, Sydecar is characterised by extreme flexibility and very high performances. The wide selection of light sources, the optics, the interchangeable reflectors and the large range of accessories give life to versatile, lively lighting directions to meet the special requirements of retail areas with high performances and clear design to appeal to customers.

Designed to ensure maximum integration and safe use, the body of the luminaire can rotate in both directions. The mechanical locks for aiming and the focusing device ensure "exact" lighting directions. Installed in ceilings and walls, either vertically or horizontally, Sydecar integrates with minimal visual impact in exhibition spaces, such as boutiques, showrooms, shops, shopping centres, malls and supermarkets and museum spaces.

Sydecar is equipped with an innovative wall washer screen, composed of a specular reflecting element that creates a suggestive wall-washing effect. Available for low voltage halogen lamps up to 100W/12V and metal halide lamps up to 150W, the wall washer screen

ensures uniform lighting of very high vertical surfaces, and a wide distribution of the light beam, making it the ideal product for the lighting requirements of exhibition and retail areas.

The use of the wall washer screen in combination with the diffusing filter makes it possible to illuminate walls uniformly from floor to ceiling.

Flood optic This optic produces a homogeneous and uniform distribution of the light onto surfaces and large objects. It has a device that lets users regulate the light beam manually so that light emission can be adapted to provide different solutions; this feature is quite helpful in showrooms, exhibitions areas, and shows, where lighting should be changed regularly, with maximum ease and speed, in order to effectively light different objects that will change over time. Spot optic The high intensity and reduced width of the light cone allow for an excellent light direction with accent lighting, ideal when highlighting objects that are smaller in size. The spot optic also has a focusing device for the light beam, which allows users to find the perfect position of the lamp with respect to the reflector.

Design and the large array of reflectors, combined with professional filters, allow users to obtain excellent lighting performance and to produce beautiful chromatic and lighting effects. The reflectors, made of ultra pure aluminium with special facets, give off highly efficient lighting and a homogeneous distribution of the light beam. The lamps have been placed more towards the rear in order to diminish glare, achieving a high visual comfort.

The innovative “Warmtone” filter for the correction of colour temperature is a product plus of the Sydecar range. It adds value to the lamps that need to produce full warm tones.

The “Coldtone” conversion filter is ideal when lighting certain objects with cold hues, creating clear and brilliant lighting, just like natural light.

Sydecar is provided with a practical device to lock both the horizontal and vertical rotation that secures the fitting in position after setting the direction of the light beam.

Light without glare. This is the basic concept of the technology developed for i88. The innovative optical principle uses a special intermediate lamellar element that guarantees maximum visual comfort. The light flux is controlled by the optic and diffused by the satin-finished flat surface directly.

The indirect emission is directed and softened by the lined finish of the upper polycarbonate screen. The down and uplight emissions are effective, pleasant and suitable for all settings.

The refined elegant design acquires technical lighting value through the careful research and care of details and materials: soft transparent corners, satin and line-finished polycarbonate. Developed to give a flexible answer to the lighting needs of work and reception areas, i88 has been designed for surface-mounted and suspended installation, in individual configuration and continuous line with track. The continuous line version allows for switching-on three groups of luminaires, creating mixed lighting:

in addition to i88 modules, which ensure diffused uniform lighting, 3-phase tracks can be installed in the continuous line modules to use iGuzzini spotlights to enhance elements and details. The product ensures maximum simplicity during mounting and installation.

The i88 range is available in modules complete with installation systems (suspended and surface-mounted version) and in modular modules for continuous lines.

Maintenance operations are carried out without tools thanks to opening and fixing springs that also act as anti-fall system.

The light flux of the light sources positioned in the centre of the fitting generates a very wide and diffused uplight emission because of the special curved profile of the specular aluminium reflector, and a controlled downlight emission, thanks to the curved reflector and the lamellar elements that reduce glare. The special distribution meets the lighting requirements of office spaces, creating suggestive atmospheres that favour reading activities and use of VDUs.

More than others, office areas require special attention to visual comfort. Blacklight thoroughly fulfils this task, ensuring compliance of luminance control standards to illuminate VDUequipped operational areas without disturbing glare.

The central position of the lamp has been carefully studied to ensure the highest visual comfort for the user: two elements on the right and left-hand side of the lamp act as screen, so that the lamp is never visible directly.

Last-generation LED fittings with high-level design and different styles. The innovative optics and â&#x20AC;&#x153;intelligentâ&#x20AC;? electronics meet the most diverse street lighting requirements. The technology has been studied to achieve maximum energy saving and minimum environmental impact (up to 464,000 kW h and 195,000 kg CO2 for 1,000 luminaires a year) along with excellent visual comfort.

These luminaires achieve a dramatic reduction of running costs in public lighting installations, with the same lighting performance as traditional light sources. They guarantee uniform light, without dark areas, and without upward emission of the light flux, making an effective contribution for the reduction of lighting pollution.

Urban and interurban roads characterised by high longitudinal uniformity values (min. Ul= 0.6) and mostly vehicular traffic. An example is represented by roads in ME3b lighting category.

Urban neighbourhood and urban interneighbourhood roads characterised by longitudinal uniformity values from 0.5 to 0.6 and mostly vehicular traffic, with roundabouts, bicycle lanes and sidewalks. The example refers to a road in ME3c lighting category (illuminated with Archilede 59LED/84W), with roundabout with 30 m diameter, two lanes with 7 m width and CE2 lighting classification (illuminated with Archilede 39LED/55W).

Urban local roads with vehicular traffic and 50Km/h speed limit, in which the average maintained luminance is 0.75 cd/m2. They belong to the ME4a/ME4b lighting category, with excellent longitudinal and general luminance uniformity values.

With the EUP Directive the European Community intends to eliminate from the market products with excessive energy consumption and replace them with more efficient products. Especially in the field of public lighting, these actions are immediately tangible and visible.

Street optics with LEDs iGuzzini

The products use a highly innovative driver. The LED operation can be modified by selecting the preferred mode from the four options described below.

Self-learning profile The self-learning profile provides for midnight detection thanks to a special algorithm. By reducing the wattage of the fitting according to the recommended profile, the average saving is +20%, in addition to the saving obtained by using the systems.

The profile permits to modify the wattage emitted in max. 6 steps and is based on the latitude and longitude of Rome. Customised profiles can be created with a specific software, for midnight detection in the main cities of the world.

Moreover, the operation mode can be customised and saved in the driver memory using a USB interface.

in situations for which no statistical data is available on the variation of vehicular traffic during the night or on the number of accidents.

Software for customised cycles In addition to 4 default operation modes, scenes and profiles can be programmed as desired, with or without self-learning, using a dedicated software. The modification is saved in a USB interface. By inserting the USB in the connector of the fitting, the profile will replace the default profile in operation. This operation may be carried out either in the laboratory or directly on the site.

Twilight photocell The well-timed switch-on of the installations is an often neglected source of saving. By switching on the luminaire after twilight, a saving of approx. 1 hour energy a day can be obtained, corresponding to 10% of the total operation hours.

Street optics with LEDs iGuzzini

The products equipped with the innovative street optics for LED guarantee very high performances and total safety over time and in difficult environmental situations. High reliability is ensured by the electronic control gear, the innovative LED technology and the special liquid paint treatment of the fittings. The environmental operation temperature ranges from -25Â°C to +32Â°C, but the LED temperature control system enlarges the operation range with a partial reduction of the emitted flux.

Extreme operating conditions The products adjust their operation to the environmental temperature conditions. Because of the low junction temperature of LEDs and the temperature control system, the lighting fixtures can work in extreme environmental conditions, unlike for instance with fluorescence.

Paint treatment The special liquid paint treatment used for the fixtures is much more efficient than powder paint. It is more compact and uniform, with higher resistance to weather agents and UV radiation, ensuring a higher uniformity of the RAL colour. The saline fog tests carried out in the iGuzzini laboratory ensure the total reliability of the paint treatment.

Vibration test

LED temperature control system In view of the extreme operation conditions, the electronic circuit monitors the LED temperature continuously, varying the current intensity to maintain the average life LED unchanged. If the internal temperature increases, the current is automatically reduced to avoid the overheating of the LED junction temperature.

The products undergo the vibration test for 60 minutes with constant excitation with 4 - 8 Hz frequency, with longitudinal axis of the prototype both parallel and perpendicular to the vibration direction. The prototypes have proved to be perfectly working. The vibration test simulates the stress suffered by street lighting luminaires because of vehicular traffic, subways, railway stations, etc.

The project of the new Platea arm is the result of iGuzzini's effort to satisfy the requests of architects and designers through the creation of personalised, carefully studied lighting solutions. Designed together with and for architect Rafael de Caceres and designer Antoni RosellĂ˛, the new Platea arm has been developed to meet a precise need of the new Tram Met trolley stops in Barcelona. Available in various lengths, the new arm can be installed in single or double configuration in cylindrical poles with 102 mm diameter, as well as in wall-mounted version.

Characterised by a linear, clean shape for easy integration in the complexity of urban areas, the project has been conceived in modular configuration to give an effective answer to the different needs of each stop. Sistema Platea 102 ensures total flexibility and adaptability, taking full advantage of the benefits and potential of the well-known Sistema Platea: high-performing optics, last-generation light sources and poles with different heights.

Installation with flange without drilling the pole

• Direct lighting system, for use with metal halide, sodium discharge, halogen and fluorescent lamps. • Installation on pole with ø 102mm or wall-mounted with possible adjustment of floodlight. • Arm installation with flange (design Rafael de Caceres e Antoni Rosellò) without drilling the pole. • Fitting has an optical assembly, arm (single or double) and pole. • Optical assembly and frame in aluminium alloy 1706AC 46100LF, with dual phosphorus-chromium plating of the base metal, followed by passivation heat treatment at 120° C, acrylic paint finish, curing at 150° C; sodium-calcium tempered sealing glass, transparent, secured with screws and pregalvanized steel and degreased shims; 40±5/50±5 Shore A silicone gasket, subjected to a post-cooling (in oven) time. Ultrapure aluminium reflector with a high-bright finish. Ready for a double PG11 cable clamp for pass-through cable.

• Pre-galvanized steel degreased control gear plate. Power supply with non-explosive power factor correction capacitor, ballast, starter, and quick-connecting terminals. Arm and wall-luminaire made of S235JR UNI 10025 hot galvanized 70 micron painted steel. • There is no light dispersed into the upper hemisphere above the system. • All screws are A2 stainless steel. • The arm is made of steel (for the long arm) or 99,5 % UNI 9001/2 H24 1/2 raw pure painted aluminium (short arm). It is secured to the pole with an attachment in die-cast grey-painted aluminium. • The technical characteristics of the fitting comply with EN60598-1 standard. • IP66 IK08 • F seal • IMQ-ENEC approval • IMQ Performance • Class of Insulation II

In addition to the rich collection of optics, iGuzzini has developed a wide range of anti-glare spill rings for maximum visual comfort in all settings. The spill rings have been carefully studied for the different bodies of the products and for each type of optic available: super spot, spot, flood, asymmetrical longitudinal and asymmetrical transversal. The luminous effects created by the multiple light cones allow for illuminating spaces at best, increasing the cut-off angle and avoiding unpleasant glare.

The Ledplus and Light up Walk professional ranges are enriched with the introduction of the warm white (3100K) colour temperature in the available signalling LEDs. A warm, pleasant light embraces the space to create soft suggestive atmospheres, mark walk-over surfaces,

In order to exalt the flexibility and adaptability of Linealuce, iGuzzini delivers an innovative elliptical optic for wall-mounted and groundrecessed LED versions. The light sources are equipped with a special optic that creates a wall-washing effect and enlarges the light beam elliptically, thus favouring surfaces with horizontal and vertical development. It is the ideal luminaire for continuous line applications because it eliminates shadows and ensures excellent luminous continuity.

The warm white and neutral white colour temperatures deliver warm and natural light, respectively, to enhance different shades and materials (steel, stone, etc.) according to the specific architectural element.

The dimmers and the boosters allow users to regulate the halogen low voltage lamp intensity with electronic transformers, 230 V incandescent lamps and halogen AV lamps. Max of 10 G744 can be connected to the G743.

Standards All the lighting fittings included in this catalogue were designed and manufactured in compliance with European Standards EN 60598-1, which comply with international Standards IEC 598-1. The products are ENEC- or IMQapproved and bear the EC Mark. The EC Mark shows that the product complies with and meets the applicable EC Directives and entitles the product to be freely marketed in all the Member States of the European Community.

SAFETY SEALS In order to guarantee operation and safety, public boards have established specific standards which protect the end user against risks. iGuzzini illuminazione in line with its policy of quality and safety, makes products which comply to these standards. The non-electrified components of the system (such as cover plates, couplings, etc.) cannot be considered as lighting fixtures and therefore are not included in the standards used by the Quality Seal Institutes for their classification. However, all the components of the certified systems have been tested by the said Institutes to ensure compatibility and safety. The luminaires in the iGuzzini collection are designed in conformance with European standards EN 60598-1 and more specific ones, therefore meeting these requirements in full, including the maximum temperatures allowed and considering the ambient temperature to be 25°C. For those countries or areas where the luminaires are to be installed with thermal and microclimatic references which are different from those foreseen (e.g.: swimming pools, premises subject to the risk of explosion, etc…), we invite you to contact us. For the correct installation of the luminaires, always consult the instruction sheet provided with the product. GUARANTEE In compliance with European norms, we guarantee our products against defects pertaining to their conformance with the sales contract for two years after delivery of the product, as long as said defect is reported within and no later than two months from its discovery.
