ABOUT me

I was born the 2nd May 1988 in Brescia (Italy). I have a “base and a family in Gardone Riviera on the Lake Garda, a very charming place. By the way I am an Interior Designer, graduated at the

European Design Institute in Milan on 21 of July 2011.

People say I lose everything, and actually this is quite true, but I somehow think that I might find whatever I am looking for while searching for something else.

ccording to the eco-friendly philosophy of the Company, a connection between the designing of accommodation facilities which can supplu energy to the IT communication technologies has been developed... ...and the selling, through the same structures, of a high quality energy drink such as illyissimo coffee. The concept is mainly linking the consumers to the product, taking advantage of their needs of making business and communication. For this reason the space is provided with solar panel and so that thanks to the solar power the customers can recharge their own technologies and theimselves with the products on sale.

n order to reach most properly the suitable target, which concerns everyone whose job is directly connected with the ITC tools, the project takes place during

fairs. The main and biggest one is meant to be placed in the expo hub (e.g. Milano Rho Fiera) and its most important peculiarity is the modular-

-ity of the whole structure. According to this Ener-gy Flow is composed of two parts.

Every single module is provided with three differet “trees whose energy comes directly from the solar power. As we can see from the legend they are

linked to each other by the same concept: rechargeable points. The green ones for the personal stuff (computer, iphone, ipad), the blue ones are a spot

As we can see in picture 3. all the trees are quite distant one from another and their structure is almost spare in order to allow people enjoy the space in its best, being a “confortable place on the go. The frame is modular (W 1500cm ,L1500cm) and it is a massive

area provided with the facilities that should be useful in a business meeting (computer and power plug-in) or during a break to recharge the energy (Illyissimo coffee) and then keep going throughout the working sightseeing. CONCEPT LIGHT DESIGN Moving shadows

s

“ hadow is presence of light Material modelling joins the light projection to create shadows which tell a story.

Moving Shadows is a project out of any time,it is made of cheap material such as iron and copper wire. They are all shaped in a handcraft method.

The modelling is indeed unlinked from any industrial or mechanical processing.

The intrinsic dutictility and melleability of the material used allow a complete and free warpage in any dimensions and directions, making the project at least totally customizable and achieving plenty of different shapes.

SLOW FOOD itHOME EXPO2015 main features about food: • educate people on how to have a healthy diet • promote new and better dietary habits, respecting the environment and either traditions and cultural range. • preserve the traditional food yield

The project is a concept food store located in the urban frame of Milan thoughout the EXPO2015 event. According to the event’s main features the whole project is structured on the main idea of selling healthy and traditional italian food. Furthermore in the space there are some others concept areas such as tasting and educational at the same time.

CONCEPT

I

taly is famous for its food as much as for its huge artistic and historical assets. Even if times are changing and life is more and more frenetic, Italians still find a great pleasure in sitting at a table, in a home or restaurant and sharing a good meal together. It is fascinating discovering new foods and new way of preparing familiar dishes. Every year there’s more and more interest in the traditional cuisine of the various regions and in biological, environment friendly food.

URBAN ARTIST HOTEL H35

A “urban artist hotel” into the contemporary art gallery “Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro” in Milan. he project is set in a typical industrial building, which was a mechanic industry in 1900. It has been refurbished recently and it is now a famous contemporary art gallery owned by the italian sculptur Arnarldo Pomodoro. The whole surface of the gallery is 3.200 mq and the project can occupy no more than 800 mq. As it is clear in the pictures, the architects had decided to mantaine the industrial architecture language which was there already. The main feauture in this structural range are the platforms (pic. 1) which are 120 mq each and they can move from the main height (800cm) to the ground floor through a mechanical workings. The second focus (pic.2) is indeed on the spacious interiors, which allow the project to a wide range of possibilities.

According to the brief the hotel must include different kinds of areas where to host properly to the artists during their lodging in the gallery. This specific target concerns specific and uncommon kind of needs and, because of that, there are in the space: • a reception / press area / studio visit • a public / lounge area • a private area with flats • a working area • a zone for the exhibitions of their works However, the hotel is totally separeted from the public space in the gallery to provide the artists with the right privacy and quietness although it is actually in the same building.

The last level is the one of the creation and the working areas. On this floor the pathway finds its final destination with the real conclusion of the ideas which have been developed throughout the previous levels.

The second level is related to the private flats and the “public” shared space. Due to this the main idea which has been developed is “sharing”. Through the transformability of the flats the artists would be share their places as well as their ideas. The green is the element which links this two planets.

The street and the urban frame have always been the most suitable places for the artists to get inspiration and widen their creative thinking. For this reason the cityscape has been imported into the building as environment and atmosphere in order to give to the guests a more confortable location for their stay.

he main entrance of H35 is completely independent from the entrance of the gallery. It is highly visible from the road firstly for the bright colours of the building and secondly because of the peculiar

type of objects that have been used as a part of the project. From the attitude of the target to the choice of the structures to use. The container is intended here as a metaphoric box that con

tains experiences and journey. As well as an artist is, this kind of structure is related even with the idea of urban frame and feeling and it goes with the industrial architectural language of the

Fondazione Pomodoro. Because of that the project is stylistically integrated with the pre existent environment.

In order to connect the urban frame from the outside with the indoor space, a bike spot has been placed just next to the main desk. A sustainable means of transport such as a bycicle can directly get into the structure. The cycles belong to each artist during their lodging in H35. he trip across this space continues on the flats platform. It houses six different flats and the main element of the projects is here impressive again. Each CONTAINER, indeed, has the same colour displayed in the directions, marking ideally differet souls and personalities. In the middle of the platform a concept garden takes place. It is an ideal type of space in which the artists can spend their spare time meeting each others or staying in contact with a natural and peaceful atmosphere as they were in a public park. Each flat is made of two containers and they are connected each other with a outer stair which has been enclosed in a glass structure in order to simplify the severe stracture of the container itself. Every flat faces directly the garder and its structure is designed to give to the guests the possibility to open completely their private space to the others to share space, time and ideas.

SLEEPING SPACE

A

s the others areas in H35 even the flats have the same main feature: transformation. Pictures 3 shows clearly how this concept has been developed. An artist can decide to share his space: he can open the door , doubling the living room and sharing his lodging with another artist. On the way of this idea even the kitchen is a particular one (‘Minikitchen’ designed by Joe Colombo for BOFFI) : it is indeed movable and it allows the space to change its use from a living room to a kitchen . More over the interaction between space and target continues even in the sleeping space, upstairs (pic. 6).

Behind the bed ( “Air” designed by Daniele Lago) there is a wall where the artists can draw directly their ideas 6. as well as downstaris. Furthermore, in the 7. bedroom, we can see a combination of elements with opposite feautures. Infact the natual birch wood which is used for the floor finishing faces pieces of furniture whose feature is a strong industrial and raw style language (‘Tolix C armchair’ designed by Xavier Pauchard, custom made wardrobe designed by Jérôme Lepert). A balcony faces the concept garden linking the sleeping space with the lively space out there (pic.7).

The working area on the second level is connected with the groud by a lift (9 mq).

The other working area is located at the ground floor because the artists might need a bigger space to create an oversize project. It mechanically moves from the second level (8.80 m) to the ground (0.00) changing, thorughouth this path, its utility. On the second level, which is related to creation, there is a coffeebreak area and the container is a kind of cafeteria that can be use directly from the guests. One side of it is useful for films or video pro-

On the other hand, when the platform is at the ground floor the container on it changes completely. It opens its sides, becoming a meeting point for artists and public.
