Elena's passion for illustration began as a child. Her happiest memories were drawing characters and designing outfits for them on paper. Growing up in Spain played a very big role in her design aesthetic and its influence on her current work. She began her professional career in graphic design in NYC, designing advertising campaigns for a software company. Her credits include Interview Magazine, Tear Sheet, Vogue, and Elite Traveler. She has worked as a creative for over 15 years for various clients in the fashion and editorial industries, as a graphic designer, Art Director, and illustrator. Her passion for illustration has lead her to surface pattern design. Nature, joyful colors, traveling, and family, have all inspired her to create her very own collections for fashion and home decor. Her mission is to spread beauty through her work.
Inspired by a family trip to Andalucía, the south of Spain, and my father’s birth land. I have many memories of Andalucía. Growing up, my first road trips as a young girl with my parents and sisters, where to the south of Spain. Many years after I returned with daughter. We went back to the land of rich flavors, endless sunny days, warm people, traditions, and dreams. Art, literature, passion. I can’t name them all, but I can show you a little part of it through this collection. My memories of Andalucía.

Casa Palau is a big country house that my family has in the northern lands of the Iberian peninsula. It is where we spend time together. Our sanctuary, a place of healing and relaxation. Is where we plant new seeds (memories) that will stay with us forever. Each design in the collection is part of my wishes and dreams for our family. Inspired by Mediterranean landscapes, it’s vegetation, full of healing plants, and wonderful scents. The geometric designs are the links that unites us and our love for each-other. One of my favorite patterns from this collection is a collaboration with my eleven year old daughter. Diamonds by Isabella. We are a family of travelers, together we can speak six languages, we bring a collage of cultures, and life lessons. Dedicated to my family.

My Happy Garden is a collection of patterns inspired by bright colors, love, flowers, nature, spring, and summer days. Life is full of wonderful things that surround us. Like a good box of chocolates, life is full of surprises that bring joy to my heart and hopefully to yours as well.
