From Tam Broadway – Primary Headteacher It’s been another fun and very busy week at INA Primary. hopefully no one is aching too much from their Olympianlike performances on Monday! Please keep checking for details of events over the coming fortnight. We received two lovely emails this week in response to the fantastic phonics work that goes on daily at INA Primary that made me feel enormously proud of our children and the staff. They were with particular reference to the fabulous Year 1 Phonics results that the children achieved this year. The first was from Mel Erwin, the Director of Ruth Miskin Phonics Training, praising the teachers who show ‘such commitment to success for every child, exactly what all schools should do. A huge well done to all involved. Your children will now move to Year 2 with the best chance of being fluent, comprehending readers.’ The second email followed shortly the next day from Ruth Miskin herself, ‘And from me…Fabulous news to finish a Friday. Very well done!’ Well done to all the Year 1 team and congratulations to Ms Ali for her relentless leadership in phonics across the school.

Lost Blazers I have had a few parents in recent weeks telling me that their child has lost their blazer. We ask first of all that you check with your child’s teacher and the lost property box in the office. Could I kindly ask you all to check your child’s blazer in case they have taken the wrong one home in error. Can I also remind you that it is very important to label your child’s clothing and check this after a number of washes; having their name inside their clothes helps enormously in getting items back to their owners. 07 July 2017
