I'm looking at buying a four door sedan but I don't have car insurance. The reason that I don't have insurance is because I only have my permit. Unfortunately, I no longer live with my parents so I don't think their insurance will cover me. When renting a car are you expected to provide your own insurance or is it included in the rental price?

I am thinking about renting a car for a few days. I no longer maintain car insurance since i got rid of my car 6 months ago. When renting a car do they provide your insurance for the time your renting it or are you expected to provide your own? it been a long time since i ever had to rent a car.

My ex husband let my daughter borrow one of his cars. He lives in a different state. I had the car registered here in the state we live in, but now the insurance has expired and I can't seem to get insurance for the car now since the car is not in my name. We went out looking for cars today and every 2 door car we saw he just kept walking by them. I dont know about him but Im a 2 door kind of guy. He said 2 door cars would be more Insurance.
