Island Camp Baringo Island Camp offers a perfect opportunity to escape the humdrum of city life or a change of pace in between visiting the many national parks. A chance to relax, recuperate and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of this idyllic island. The camp is located on Ol Kokwe island, home of the Njemp tribe, in lake Baringo. Renovated in 2013, this camp comprises now only 11 Deluxe Tents and Superior Tented Cottages with en-suite bathroom, whether twin, double or triple (for families). - All tents are shaded by a roof of Papyrus (local reeds) and are separated by green lawns and natural rockeries. They overlook the lake and beyond to the Great Rift Valley. - The Superior Tented Cottages offer in addition a private plunge pool with views over the peaceful lake. Most of these accommodation face the east to catch the beautiful sunrises across the lake.
