EiE, BudgIT, with The Cable as media partner hosted 10 editions of #ThursdayTalks, a monthly conversation with thought leaders,changeagentsandactivecitizenswhichisaimedatdrivingconversationsaroundthedemandforgoodgovernance drivenbyactivecitizenship.

Due to the continued outbreak of different variants of COVID19, and restriction of large gatherings, the conversation was sustainedvirtuallygivingopportunitiesforparticipantstojoinandengageglobally

Some of the highlights of the conversation we hosted include, a conversation with INEC National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information & Voter Education Committee - Festus Okoye and active citizens to analyseAnambra 2021 governorshipelectionsandthefutureofelectionsinNigeriaaswecountdowntotheoff-cycleelectionsinOsun&Ekitistates and the 2023 general elections. We also celebrated the life and impact of Innocent Chukwuma, a thought leader and Founder of CLEEN Foundation who passed onApril 3, 2021. Innocent Chukwuma was the #OnePerson who inspired EiE Nigeria,BudgIT,andTheFutureProjecttostart#ThursdayTalksinJune2018.

To commemorate the first anniversary of the #EndSARS protest that shook the country, EiE hosted a series of conversations on trauma aimed at helping citizens who have experienced trauma get closure and forge ahead. A major outcomeofthisspecialeditionwasthatwelaunchedaTraumaCareInitiative withourpartners—OlusolaLanreCoaching Academy(OLCA)andtheInstituteofFamilyEngineeringandDevelopment—tohelpthosewhoarewillingtoseekhelpata subsidizedrate.
