USES OCTOBER 2017 - EIDE, industrial clutches and brakes manufacturer Brake for Clipper The graphic arts industry needs all the accuracy of Eide's electromagnetic brakes especially in the cutting actions carried out by industrial clippers. For this purpose, the electromagnetic brake FAE/M has been specially designed to exert a brake action directly on the mechanism that is part of the clipper. To achieve this, Eide has manufactured it with negative brake characteristics, by spring reaction, in which when a normalised tension is applied the brake stops in its braking action. For this reason, it is highly safe in cutting tools belonging to the graphics industry such as clippers with the aim of avoiding any accident that may occur when carrying out a particular cutting action. Brake for Golf Cars Golf cars are often powered by battery systems in which it is essential to minimise their energy consumption. Hence the importance of the design of the FZB bistable electromagnetic brake that only requires a pulse of direct current for 100 milliseconds and that can remain braked or de-energised without consuming energy. Thanks to this mechanism, the total energy consumed, is much lower when compared to any other model of electromagnetic brake.
