SNOW MUCH FUN DAY AT CHILDREN’S MUSEUM OF PHOENIX WHEN: December 14, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. WHERE: Children’s Museum of Phoenix, 215 N. 7th St. in Phoenix WHAT: Guests are encouraged to build snowmen, enjoy a snowball fight or make angels in the 40 tons of snow. As part of the Children’s Museum’s Winter Festival the first-of-its-kind Sock Skating exhibit includes a full-size rink with slick plastic floor, similar to ice, where kids can take off their shoes and skate along the slippery surface in their socks.

Luminaries are strung throughout, native cacti are adorned with miniature lights and desert sage is strung like garland for its southwestern symbolic meaning of affection and its exotic scent. A Southwestern-style Christmas tree is dressed with ornaments in colorful turquoise and copper.
