City News North Valley Regional Library Announces Exciting Lineup of September Events
SEPTEMBER IS GOING TO BE A BUSY AND EXCITING MONTH AT THE NORTH VALLEY REGIONAL LIBRARY, LOCATED AT 40410 N GAVILAN PEAK PKWY., IN ANTHEM.
The library has organized a range of events catering to all age groups from preschoolers to adults.
A BAKER'S DOZEN MYSTERY
Date & Time: September 6, 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Ages: Tweens, Teens
Kids ages 9 to 18 are invited to solve a baking murder mystery. Participants will be put in pairs to read clues, make connections, and solve secret codes to prevent a murder on a baking competition show.

STORIES & SONGS
Date & Time: Sept. 7, 14, 21, & 28, 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Ages: Preschoolers
Children and their caregivers can enjoy an interactive program with books, songs, and rhymes designed to share the joy of reading. Space is limited.
SENSORY PLAYTIME

Date & Time: Sept. 9 & 30, 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Ages: Preschoolers, Toddlers
Families can explore a variety of sensory activities, free play, socialization, and mind-stimulating activities. Co-sponsored by the New Friends of the North Valley Library. Space is limited.
LET'S SET UP LIBBY!
Date & Time: Sept. 10, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Ages: Adults
A program for adults who want to learn how to set up Libby on their devices to read or listen to library books.
Perler Bead Craft
Date & Time: Sept. 12, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Ages: All ages
Families can drop in to create designs with Perler beads using templates or their own creations. Note: small pieces may be a choking hazard for small children. Adult supervision or ages 8+ suggested.
Bingo And Books
Date & Time: Sept. 13, 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
Ages: All ages
Enjoy a fun afternoon of Bingo and winning books for the whole family or friends of all ages.

DROP-IN CRAFT
Date & Time: Sept. 16, 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Ages: Preschoolers and school age
Children can drop by the library to make a craft project and get a little crafty. Supplies are limited.
Line Dancing At The Library
Date & Time: Sept. 18, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Ages: Adults and teens
Participants can learn the steps in a beginning class from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and then just dance in the advanced class from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Mason Jar Terrariums
Date & Time: Sept. 19, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Ages: All ages
Participants can create a tiny ecosystem in a mason jar with layers of dirt, rocks, plants, and figures. Registration ends on September 18 at noon.
CANDY SUSHI
Date & Time: Sept. 25, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Ages: Teens, Tweens
Students in grades sixth through 12 can learn about sushi by crafting a dessert out of Rice Krispie treats and candy. Registration required.
HARRY POTTER 25TH ANNIVERSARY
Date & Time: Sept. 27, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Ages: School age
Harry Potter Science
Date & Time: Sept. 14, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Ages: All ages
Kids ages 8 and up can try Harry Potter related science experiments, mix potions, make a marauder map, and more. Registration required.

Families with school-age children can celebrate the 25th anniversary of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone” with crafts and games.
