Textures

We aim for authenticity in all our decors and measure our success on their look and feel. Our textures add character and depth which makes them almost indistinguishable from the real thing. From subtle to strong, matt to gloss, our textures work well on their own or mixed together to create something new.

ST2

A mini-pearl texture, with a medium gloss level. This surface is robust, very durable and is best used with uni and pearlescent colours.

ST9

Used with uni colours and woodgrains offering a very soft and natural feel. This texture supports the trend for matt surfaces.

ST10

A highly authentic and realistic texture for solid wood and material reproductions.

ST12

This texture has an irregular distribution of linear pores, of various depths, giving the surface its natural look. A light sub-structure gives a velvet feel to the surface.

ST15

Used with uni colours and woodgrains offering a very soft and natural feel. This texture follows the trend for matt surfaces.

ST16

This surface has a rough plaster look, containing both deep and glossy elements. On reproductions of concrete, metal and stone it creates a highly authentic finish. It also gives uni colours a striking material character.

ST19

This surface stands out with its linear areas. The matt-gloss effect creates authenticity. The texture aligns with the lightly-planked woodgrain decors. Can be used with solid colours for a painted wood look.

ST20

Metallics are a popular feature in on-trend furniture design. The ST20 Metal Brush texture gives a pearlescent and metallic decor the look and feel of finely sanded metal.

ST22

A deep brushed finish with a matt-gloss linear grain. This offers a realistic surface for linear woodgrain decors, creating depth and intrigue.

This texture is characterised by its authentic feel. Cracks and knots create the natural look and feel of real wood.

ST32

This synchronised pore texture creates a natural look and feel. The vintage look is a popular trend. The worn appearance of the wood decor is enhanced by the synchronised surface.

ST33

This surface displays an interplay of matt and lightgloss elements, giving it a pearlescent sheen. The matt and softly brushed pore provides the surface with great depth, giving it a very natural look.

ST36

This surface exhibits a deeply brushed but very natural, matt character that gives many different types of wood an extremely authentic feel.

ST37

With its authentic solid wood finish, enhanced by the synchronised pore finish, the Halifax Oak decor range has a very realistic look and feel.

ST38

The texture displays a deeply brushed softwood appearance with a high value pearl effect thanks to the matt-gloss elements. The surface looks like painted or lacquered solid wood when applied to uni colours.

ST87

This texture features matt-gloss effects, simulating the surface and feel of a ceramic sheet.

In order to conserve natural resources, we need to make the best use of existing materials. This indicator shows how well this can be done in practice. The coated chipboard is made up of more than 50 % recycled material or recycled by-products from other industries

Contribution to the bioeconomy**

Resources need different amounts of time to regenerate. Trees grow in a few decades, while fossil fuels need millions of years to form. Within this indicator, the product components are measured against how much material was obtained from renewable raw materials and how much from fossil fuels.

Wood-based materials production

To continually improve our environmental performance in the production process, we adhere to internationally certified energy and environmental management systems in accordance with ISO 50001, ISO 14001 and EMAS.

Consumer

We provide full transparency through Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). They give end consumers important information about environmental and health aspects for each of our basic products.

Recycling Recycled wood, consisting of waste wood from disposed goods and those not fit for sale, is prepared and used for chipboard production.

Sawmill

Every year over half a million tonnes of sawmill co-products are used in the production of our wood based panels, derived from logs sourced from sustainably managed forests.

Sustainable forestry

We act responsibly with regard to forests and the environment and are certified according to PEFC™ and FSC®, depending on the availability of the wood. In line with the EU Timber Regulation, EUTR, we only buy timber from verified suppliers.

Renewable energy

We turn biogenic fuels, which can no longer be used, into heat and green electricity in our own biomass power plants.

Eurodekor® Melamine Faced Chipboard (MFC)

The ideal material for horizontal or vertical applications in furniture and interior design, for example carcass material, door frontals and shelving. Eurodekor melamine faced chipboard (according to EN 14322) consists of raw chipboard that is covered with decorative paper on both sides.

Feelwood

Synchronised pore technology brings Feelwood to life by matching the woodgrain features with the structure plate. Each texture reproduces a solid wood effect that shows off knots, cracks and grains, creating a surface that is realistic to the touch. Feelwood is also available as an XL laminate (2790 × 2060 × 0.8 mm*) and is a cost-effective alternative to real wood and veneer. Also available in matching MFMDF and ABS edging.

Eurodekor® Melamine Faced MDF (MFMDF)

Eurodekor Melamine Faced MDF has exactly the same surface as Eurodekor MFC but has a fibreboard core.

MFMDF can be used as wall panelling or shelving in commercial applications such as retail and hospitality areas or for furniture surfaces such as headboards and wardrobes.

Every decor available in MFMDF also has matching laminate, MFC and edging.

Eurodekor MFMDF is mainly used where heavy duty screw holding is required, making it ideal for shelving in retail space.

It can also be used for curved applications and can be grooved or routered into as a design feature.

The edges of Eurodekor MFMDF can also be painted, lacquered, polished or left unfinished as a design detail.

Eurodekor Flammex

This product is for use in areas where there is a need for increased fire protection such as airports or hospitals. MDF Flammex is available in a wide range of decors across the collection in a thickness of 19 mm or 25 mm and a sheet size of 2800 × 2070 mm.

Laminates are both versatile and hard-wearing. An attractive product for designers, laminates are ideal for mid to high traffic surfaces as well as curved elements. This collection includes 259 on-trend laminates in woodgrain, material and uni colour decors.

Laminate

The quality of the laminate is classified according to the applicable product standard EN 438 and the different types. There is a distinction between standard and postforming laminate quality:

Type S → Standard quality means that this coating material can be used as a surface coating material, but cannot be reshaped.

Type P → Postformable or postforming quality means that this laminate corresponds to type S, but is also postformable.

PerfectSense® Topmatt (PT) Laminate

PT laminate has a matt, velvety lacquered surface with anti-fingerprint features and excellent resistance to abrasion, impact, and microscratches. It can be used for horizontal surfaces, such as worktops, tables, or shelves, as well as for vertical applications such as furniture fronts or door elements.

EGGER Door Laminate

Available from UK stock in standard sheet size 2150 × 950 mm, door laminate is ideal for many internal application areas such as hotels, schools, hospitals and offices. It is hard wearing and resistant to scratches.

The door size laminate is an ideal solution for coordinating doors with furniture and other surfaces such as wall panels. It can be used in combination with standard laminate, MFC and MFMDF.

Coloured Core

A decorative laminate with a multilayer structure of melamine impregnated papers in the same colour as the decorative layer, through which a coloured core effect is achieved. By using a coloured core laminate, joint lines and visible edges are minimised and a more high end look can be achieved. Due to a different core construction, slight colour differences can occur in comparison to other EGGER products.

B PerfectSense® Premium Lacquered Boards

Our high quality PerfectSense matt and ultra-gloss UV lacquered MDF boards, are visually striking and offer high levels of durability. They are perfectly suited to creating upmarket furniture and commercial interiors. PerfectSense Premium Gloss (PG) represents pure luxury with its deep, reflective, glass-like surface. PerfectSense Premium Matt (PM) is warm and smooth to the touch, with high resistance and anti-fingerprint properties.

ABS edging

ABS edging is more environmentally friendly than PVC. It is used for laminated wood-based materials such as chipboard, MDF and lightweight boards. Available in a wide range of widths and thicknesses, ABS edging matches EGGER’s product decors, textures, and gloss and matt levels.

PMMA accent edging

Current trends in furniture design focus on combining a variety of materials. Uni colours have also become a dominant factor when selecting decors. They truly come into their own when partnered with PMMA accent edging, creating a striking finish in a number of combinations. PMMA has been in the market for many years, is reliable and easy to process.

Worktops

The EGGER Eurolight Lightweight Board is a composite board with strong surface layers made from 8 mm wood-based panels that encase a light, yet robust, hexagonal cardboard honeycomb core.
