WHY I LIKE TO WATCH PEOPLE

y photography adjusts with my location. When I’m home, I’m swept up off my feet by scenes of foliage and nostalgia. Now I consider Philadelphia my home and there are endless cycles of people for me to interact with, observe and photograph. I’ve always been a little obsessed with spying on people: my parents, teachers, and strangers in public. Seeing with a camera has extended my visual infatuation, allowing me to capture the interactions and reactions of others to my method of seeing. This project depicts the simultaneous feelings of hesitation and excitement that come with me pressing the shutter.
