A VERY WARM WELCOME TO EFFAT UNIVERSITY We were founded as Effat College in 1999 by HRH Princess Effat Al Thunayan Al Saud wife of the late King Faisal Bin Abdal-Aziz (May God rest their souls) as the first private non-profit institution of higher education for women in Saudi Arabia.
Seen as the founding mother of education in KSA, Queen Effat (as she was affectionately known) worked tirelessly to establish it as one of the cornerstones on which our society is built. Her legacy of excellence and passion for education lives on in Effat today, and we’re proud to be one of the most forward-looking universities for women in the Middle East. We work to the highest international standards and partner with the world’s finest institutions. We also break new ground; both with the 13 different Undergraduate programmes and three Graduate programmes we run and the academic quality we deliver. It’s one of the reasons we attract the very best international faculty to our strong team, helping give our Undergraduate and Graduate students a rich and rounded education.
