Reporting to the SVP and working closely with senior leadership and the Charitable Fund Board of Trustees, the Director of Development (DoD) develops and maintains a robust portfolio of $25K+ donors and prospects with an eye toward increasing seven-figure giving. This key contributor fosters a culture of philanthropy and mission advancement across the organization, its volunteers, donors, and communities at large.

Using data and research in a metrics-mindful environment, the DoD implements and manages creative and effective strategies designed to interest, engage, and secure a wide range of prospects and donors, developing and strengthening the prospect pipeline. This includes managing a personal portfolio and establishing strong working relationships with administrative and volunteer leaders and staff who are central to donor engagement. The DoD also provides counsel and direction to Major Gift/Annual Fund team members with a focus on advancing and closing gifts.

Working with the SVP, the DoD will have the opportunity to contribute to strategic planning for the pending campaign (set to launch in 2024). Focused on increasing leadership giving, the NVNA and Hospice Charitable Fund is poised to elevate established donors while developing strategic direction to build on the current donor pipeline. Working with the Executive leadership of the Charitable Fund Board of Trustees, the DoD will identify new leaders in the community to serve in key volunteer leadership roles.
