Academic programs

Boston is America’s oldest major city and the birthplace of American independence. This harbor city attracts students from around the world to its more than 50 universities, making it the nation’s premier academic capital. America’s premier student city Metropolitan Boston has more students than any other American city and is home to some of the country’s most prestigous universites, such as Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In Boston, you can live the life of a typical American student, joining people from across the country and around the world. The academic energy can be felt everywhere, from the bookshops and bars of Harvard Square to the trendy shops of Newbury Street. On weekends, stroll along the historic Freedom Trail, catch a Red Sox baseball game at Fenway Park or dine at Faneuil Hall.
