Where are you from?
I am from Miami Florida. Very lucky to have grown up around some of the best courses in the country.
How did you get into the golf business?
Getting into the golf business was a way to combine my love of the game and the need to be outdoors each day.
What makes your course a “standout/outstanding”?
Ocala Golf Club is a Municipal course ,designed by Ellsworth Giles in 1931 , which sees a tremendous number of rounds played per year.
How has PN helped you be successful (favorite products, programs, technical assistance etc. )?
PN products come with an extra: an exceptional amount of support coupled with the products delivering results. For our course, with its high-volume play, it is important to get the results you expect each and every use. I use Kapre Exalt, Prudent 40 plus , Nutrol , Krystal Klear and Vibrant from Performance Nutrition.
Who is your mentor and why?
Brad Seiler, Golf Course Superintendent of Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston Texas, is a friend and mentor. His unyielding goal of making a golf course the best it can be and his love for the game of golf are qualities that drew me to him wanting to know what he knew.
What advice would you give to someone starting out in the field?
Don’t take no for an answer when pursuing your goals. Trust your instincts. Even some decisions that do not work out are valuable learning tools.
