Celebration Golf Club Promotes Golf Operations Manager and Golf Shop Supervisor Celebration Golf Club has promoted Alex Wagner to golf operations manager. John Bixler, assistant general manager for Celebration Golf Club, said Wagner will oversee the entire golf operations at Celebration Golf Club including daily play, promotion and marketing, rates, and all golf personnel. “Since he chose golf management as his career path, Alex has shown dedication and a strong work ethic that have led to new roles and responsibilities,” Bixler said. “His commitment to customer service and his ability to react to any situation makes him a perfect candidate for this position,” Bixler said. At the same time, Bixler said Tony Brus has been promoted to golf shop supervisor. “Tony will assist Alex with golf operations, focusing on the golf shop staff and daily shop operations,” Bixler explained.
Brus joined Celebration Golf Club in January. “Tony has demonstrated a passion for customer service and his professionalism, efficiency and ability to think outside the box will help us raise our customer service to the next level,” Bixler said.
Henry Chateauvert – 2013 Don E. Beattie Scholorship Recipient The South Florida PGA Foundation is delighted to announce that Palm Beach County resident, Henry Chateauvert has been selected to receive the 2013 Don E. Beattie Scholarship. This scholarship grant of $2,500 is annually awarded to one Palm Beach County resident meeting all eligibility requirements. The Don E. Beattie Scholarship was established in 2006 in memory of PGA Professional Don E. Beattie for his service to the South Florida PGA Section as a Past President and
for his support of the game of golf. Don E. Beattie was a selfless, giving, unassuming individual dedicated to community outreach efforts and countless charities throughout Palm Beach County. Henry Chateauvert is the son of Tanya and PGA Professional, Tony Chateauvert, a PGA member and the Head Professional at the Town of Palm Beach Par 3 course. The South Florida PGA congratulates Henry and wishes him well as he continues his studies at Rollins College.
Laura Reed Joins The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club Laura Reed has been named Sales Manager at The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club in Southwest Florida. In her new position, she is responsible for sales efforts for the 125-acre beachfront resort for small groups, as well as the local (Southwest Florida) market.
