Tyler Collet, PGA and Patrick Rada, PGA Qualify for PGA Championship

Tyler Collet, PGA and Patrick Rada, PGA join the PGA of America’s team of 20 PGA Professionals representing facilities across the country at the PGA Championship at Kiawah Island’s Ocean Course. Collet, a PGA Assistant Professional at John’s Island Club in Vero Beach, won the South Florida PGA Professional Championship in the fall and finished at even-par during the championship to punch his ticket to the big stage. The 25-year-old made his second PGA TOUR appearance after playing in the Puerto Rico Open earlier this year. Rada, PGA Head Professional at McArthur Golf Club, survived a fiveman playoff to emerge as one of the 20 club professionals to compete in one of golf’s major championships in his home state of South Carolina. The University of South Carolina alum made his PGA TOUR debut with honors for a 7:00 a.m. tee time on day one of the tournament, making the first swing of the championship.

West Palm Golf Park Committee Breaks Ground on New West Palm Golf Park, Future Home of SFPGA

The West Palm Beach Golf Park Committee broke ground on April 29th, on the West Palm Beach Golf Park, a newly renovated and designed golf course to provide area residents a place to play. In addition to the Gil Hanse-designed golf course and the accompanying world-class golf facilities, the plan for the site will include a modest clubhouse and the new headquarters for the South Florida PGA, further cementing the PGA’s ongoing dedication to supporting this project.

PGA HOPE Classic Raises $73,000 to Support Local Veterans

More than 95 amateur golfers from Palm Beach County came together May 6th to help raise funds to support local veterans through the game of golf. This year the PGA HOPE Classic raised $73,000 for the South Florida PGA Foundation’s PGA HOPE programs.
