MOTORLAND ARAGÓN SPAIN 2017

La MOTUL FIM Superbike, Supersport y el nuevo Supersport 300 World Championship, junto con el European Superstock 1000 Championship bajo su nuevo nombre, dan el pistoletazo a la manga europea de la serie aquí en Aragón. Al igual que hace doce meses, la lucha épica de convertirse en el Rey de cada una de las clases continuará en un circuito que se ha convertido rápidamente en muy popular entre los pilotos.

El británico Jonathan Rea intentará marcarse un triplete defendiendo su título en el MOTUL FIM World Superbike Championship. Si el afable protagonista norirlandés fuera capaz de coronarse por tercera vez, se convertirá en el segundo Campeón con más éxito de todos los tiempos, siendo Carl Fogarty el único que ha ganado un mayor número de títulos (cuatro en total: 1994, 1995, 1998 y 1999) desde que el primer FIM Superbike World Championship se disputase en 1988.

Si las pasadas ediciones del Campeonato sirven de precedente, seremos testigos de nuevo de otra emocionante y apasionante temporada de competición con trece rondas y que acabará en Qatar a principios de Noviembre.

Desde la primera edición a finales de los 80, en sus dos décadas y media, esta serie de motocicletas de serie ha ido cada vez a más, con todos los fabricantes líderes mundiales de dos ruedas habiendo competido ya en esta serie y muchos de ellos habiendo saboreado el éxito en este mundialmente reconocido y aplaudido escenario.

Al igual que la mayoría de los éxitos, esto es el resultado de un gran esfuerzo de equipo, con muchos años de duro trabajo y buena colaboración entre las partes involucradas. Y en este contexto, quisiera dar las gracias efusivamente a nuestro promotor Dorna WorldSBK Organization, nuestras federaciones nacionales, nuestros organizadores y voluntarios, nuestros patrocinadores, nuestros pilotos, nuestros equipos, los medios de comunicación y por último, pero no menos importante, a vosotros, los fans.

En nombre de la FIM, ¡os deseo a cada una de las partes implicadas otra temporada emocionante y de grandes éxitos!

MotorLand aguarda con expectación el desembarco del Campeonato del Mundo MOTUL FIM de Superbikes. El circuito aragonés acoge por séptimo año consecutivo una prueba del que es uno de los certámenes más relevantes del mundo del motociclismo. Carreras espectaculares, máxima igualdad en la pista y complicidad con los aficionados son los ingredientes de un cóctel que han convertido a las Superbikes en una de las citas favoritas del calendario de MotorLand.

Estamos, además, ante un año especial. Con ésta son ya 30 las temporadas que cumple el Campeonato del Mundo FIM de Superbikes. Tres décadas de pasión por las dos ruedas que han hecho vibrar a los fans a lo largo y ancho del planeta. Para los aragoneses, ligar el nombre de nuestra Comunidad Autónoma al de un certamen que goza de tal prestigio es motivo de orgullo. Como lo es para MotorLand el haber contribuido a seguir escribiendo la historia del campeonato con su labor organizativa durante estos últimos siete años.

Estamos listos y deseosos de vivir un fin de semana inolvidable. Con algunos de los mejores pilotos del mundo luchando en pista por la victoria, y con un atractivo y variado programa de actividades complementarias en el paddock, los aficionados están preparados para disfrutar de lo que promete ser una gran fiesta del motociclismo. El Bajo Aragón volverá a mostrar la hospitalidad de sus gentes en medio del excelente ambiente festivo que envuelve estos días la celebración del evento.

Un espectáculo, el de la prueba aragonesa del Mundial de Superbikes, que será visto en todo el mundo. El certamen tendrá este año una cobertura televisiva récord, lo que unido a la información de las publicaciones especializadas y al trabajo de los periodistas acreditados en el circuito, hacen de este evento el mejor escaparate para proyectar internacionalmente el nombre de Aragón.

Solo me queda dar la bienvenida a los pilotos, los equipos y la organización del Campeonato del Mundo MOTUL FIM de Superbikes. También a los aficionados, tanto a los aragoneses como a los miles de visitantes llegados de fuera de nuestra región. Deseo que todos vivamos un apasionante fin de semana de carreras en MotorLand. Y, cómo no, mucha suerte a los nuestros.

The MOTUL FIM Superbike, Supersport and brand new Supersport 300 World Championships – along with the rebranded European Superstock 1000 Championship – start the European leg of their series here in Aragón. As per twelve months ago the titanic struggle to become the eventual King of each of the respective classes will continue at a circuit that has become hugely popular among the riders.

Britain’s Jonathan Rea will look to make it three titles in a row as the Kawasaki rider continues his defence of his MOTUL FIM World Superbike Championship. If the highly likeable protagonist from Northern Ireland can clinch a third crown he will elevate himself to be the second most successful Champion of all time, with only Carl Fogarty having won more titles (four in total: 1994, 1995, 1998 and 1999) since the FIM Superbike World Championship was first run in 1988.

If past editions of the Championship are anything to judge by, we are again set for another exciting and thrilling season of racing that will take in thirteen rounds and that will end in Qatar come early November.

Ever since the initial edition in the late 1980s, this production-based motorcycle series has gone from strength to strength over the past two and a half decades with all the World’s leading two-wheel manufacturers having competed in this championship, and many having also tasted success on this globally applauded and recognised stage.

This success, as is so often the case, is the result of a great team effort and is following many years of hard work and good collaboration between all the parties involved. With this very much in mind, I want to offer huge thanks to our promoter Dorna WSBK Organization, our national federations, our organisers and volunteers, our sponsors, our riders, our teams, the media and last but most importantly you the fans.

MotorLand looks forward to the arrival of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship. For the seventh year in a row, the Aragonese circuit has been a focal point of what is one of the most important competitions in the world of motorcycling. Spectacular racing, maximum parity on the track and complicity with the fans are the ingredients of a cocktail that have made World Superbikes one of the favourite events on the MotorLand calendar.

And this is a special year, the 30th season of the FIM Superbike World Championship. Three decades of passion and great racing have excited fans across the planet. For the Aragonese, linking the name of our Autonomous Community to a contest that enjoys such prestige is a source of pride. As it is for MotorLand to have contributed to continue writing the history of the Championship with its organisational work during these past seven years.

We are ready and willing to experience an unforgettable weekend. With some of the world’s best riders battling for victory, and with an attractive and varied programme of complementary activities in the paddock, fans are prepared to enjoy what promises to be a great motorcycle party. Bajo Aragón will once again show the hospitality of its people in the midst of the excellent festive atmosphere that surrounds the celebration of this event.

This will be a wonderful Aragonese spectacle, one that will be seen all over the world. The event will have record television coverage this year, which together with the coverage of the specialist magazines and the work of the journalists accredited in the circuit, make this event the best showcase for projecting the area of Aragon internationally.

I just have to welcome the drivers, teams and organisers of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship. Also to the fans, as much to the Aragonese as to the thousands of visitors from outside our region, I wish you all an exciting race weekend at MotorLand. And, of course, good luck to everyone!
