PRO 11 still accepting applicants for 2012 recruitment program

OLICE Regional Office 11 announces that it is still accepting applicants for Calendar Year 2012 Recruitment Program for Police Officer 1 with a quota of 269. The Regional Personnel Human Resource and Development Division (RPHRDD) said that the deadline of submission of folders is on May 02, 2012. Those who are interested to join the police force must meet the following general qualifications: a natural born Filipino citizen; of good moral character; a baccalaureate degree holder/college graduate; height of 5’4 for male and 5’2 for female; must possess any of the following eligibilities: NAPOLCOM PNP Entrance Examination, 2nd
Level Eligibility (Career Service Professional, CSC PO1/PO-1998 onwards), RA No. 6506 (License Criminologist), RA 1080 (BAR and BOARD Examination) -PD No 907 (College Graduates with Honors); at least 21 years old, but not more than 30 years old upon oath taking; must not have been convicted by final judgment of any offenses of crime involving moral turpitude; must not have been dishonorably discharged from military employment or dismissal for cause from civilian position in the government; and must pass general physical, neuro-psychiatric, medical, agility test and interview. Davao 911 sees bike-riding Quick Response Team

HE Davao Central 911 Communication and Emergency Response Center is building up an elite unit of bike-borne emergency responders. “Its main purpose is conduct initial assessment on the field.” Says Nelson Vallejo of the Central 911. The Quick Response Team will be riding on motorcycles and are equipped with jump-kits which can be used for emergency medical
situations. If the situation is severe the responders can call in on the ambulance. Vallejo said that the team will enable 911 to cut down its response time from an average of 15 minutes. The team is patterned after those used by European countries such as the United Kingdom. The motorcycles can just beat around the traffic, hence they can reach the victim in a much shorter
time. The responders are also trained in first aid. They are equipped with first aid jump kits like wound dressings and small oxygen tanks. About six brand-new motorcycles are readied for the new group; the team are currently undergoing training on motorcycle-riding. These motorcycle units are deployed in the satellite stations of 911 in Panacan and Toril.
