Windfalls don’t have to be something that happen to other people. Have you had a loan or credit card in the last 10 years? If the answer is yes, you may have been mis-sold Payment Protection Insurance (PPI).

of an insurance payment. Look for words such as ‘payment cover’, ‘protection plan’, ‘ASU’, ‘loan protection’ ‘loan care’ or similar. If you find you’ve been paying for PPI you didn’t know about, it’s worth investigating.

Butterworths Solicitors can claim back what is YOURS on a No win No fee basis.

Can I still make a claim if I have repaid my loan / credit card?

What is PPI? Payment Protection Insurance is a form of insurance designed to cover your repayments for a given period in the event of an accident, sickness or unemployment. If you’ve taken out a loan or had a credit card, it’s likely you would have been offered Payment Protection Insurance. Typically PPI was mis-sold if: •

You didn’t ask for the policy but it was sold to you anyway;

It wasn’t made clear to you that the insurance was optional;

You weren’t told about significant exclusions under the policy – e.g. pre-existing medical condition(s);

You had to pay for the PPI as a single premium added to your loan and it wasn’t made clear that you would be paying interest on it;

You had a Civil Service or Public Sector employment contract e.g. NHS, Police, Armed Forces, Fire Service, Education, Postal Service.

Butterworths Solicitors Delayed Flight Compensation We can get your claim off the ground. Have you travelled abroad in the last 6 years? Was your flight delayed over 3 hours or cancelled? If the answer to these questions is ‘yes’ then you and everyone you were travelling with may be entitled to compensation. What am I entitled to if my flight was delayed or cancelled? The compensation sum is fixed in Euros under EC Regulation 261/2004 and depends on the length of delay and distance travelled. Airlines try to offer vouchers for the sums below but the passenger has the right to a cash payment.
