Shannon, Janie and the Genie Shannon McGarry, '69, is currently a television star in Dayton. She portrays J anie in the children's show, Janie and the Genie, every Saturday on Station WLW-D, Channel 2. The lovely young miss is an August, 1969, graduate of UD with a masters of arts in history. She received her bachelor of arts degree in 1968 from Clarke College, Dubuque, Iowa.

Roger S. Brown, W.F., writes, "After graduating I spent the summer in Union County, N.J., working in the Recreational Therapy Department of a large hospital for the chronically ill. In September I went to Washington, D.C., for my novitiate with the "White Fathers" and spent nine months there with twelve other WF novices from various countries. We had an Englishman , an Irishman, three Spaniards, three Americans and five Canadians. Two of them were John B. DeCoste and Jules J. Goulet. We spent the year in Washington in the study and practice of the missionary community apostolate. Am spending the summer .at home in upstate New York.
